The guy has a new girlfriend who is a BLM'er. He has to do something macho to keep her I guess. Bad decision on his part to choose this method.

This topic is just dumb . Only in America do we care more about what other people do then what we are doing .

Everyone saying its unamerican to sit is completely wrong . It's literally the most American thing u can do .

She is also a Muslim that convinced him to switch to Islam. Maybe he should move to Saudi Arabia and protest their oppression of women.

I'm not saying I completely agree with CK, but I love when people say that BLM people need to protest peacefully, then when someone sits during an anthem (peacefully) they complain about that as well. Our brave men and women that died for our great country died for his right to sit or stand. We are not North Korea, we have the right to sit or stand.

And for what it's worth I stop what I'm doing, take my hat off, and put my hand over my heart every time the anthem is played. It doesn't matter if it's with 102,455 other vols fans or if it's played at the local high school game. I exercise my right to do so, and I want people in this country to exercise their right to not do so if that's what they choose. That is freedom, and it's freedom of choice protected by the first amendment.

It's his first amendment right, but it's my first amendment right to say that his actions offend me as an american.

It just seems like a case of shallow, feeble "Instagram activism", like all these girls who are now feminists but couldn't tell Susan B Anthony from Carmelo. He has even been wearing his edgy outfits lately!

Agree or not, this guy is getting exactly what he wants. How many other backup QBs are getting cameras specifically set up to watch just him?

The funny part about it is if most ignored him, it wouldn't be a big story, yet the more people speak out about it, the bigger it becomes. Basically, we're all feeding the troll.

AKA almost every controversial news story.

CK is not oppressed. He's a multi-millionaire from a wealthy white family. He believes in this fairytale of police brutality being highly prevalent in our society. Liberals can't get behind him because CK also believes Hillary belongs in jail. His peaceful protest offends servicemen and we're still waiting on this dialogue that he wants to take place in our country. If CK wants to make a coherent thought why not protest why the national anthem is even being used before a sports entertainment event. We don't stand for the anthem before watching Suicide Squad. Why mix something incredibly sacred and serious such as the national anthem with some entertainment vanity such as football?

Right. I think he's an idiot- but don't think he deserves more than an afterthought. It's cringeworthy seeing this story keep dragging out

I actually think he would do well in a Chip Kelly offense. And I don't have an issue with him sitting for the anthem. I do think that some of his actions are about bringing attention to himself, and his cause is just the vehicle for that.
