Coker Intentional Grounding?

Lots of missed calls both ways, we didn't get a holding call on two very big plays that included Hurds TD. Wish we was a kind of team good enough to not worry about calls and just play ball, yes I know everyone complains about calls but there are bad ones and missed ones in every game, Usally it's always the losing team nit picking ref calls. Kind of shows what a team is when they are always talking missed calls, youth, and how much better they are at 3 and 4 with a win over a team with no QB and their number one player out. Let's be proud TN and hold out head high one we start controlling our win, loss record.

I figured the second was a makeup call for the first. Which was annoying because the bad call on Sutton didn't even affect the play.

Yeah unfortunately agree. We got the upper hand on that. The receiver caught the ball over Sutton anyways. Not sure the down and yardage on Martin's should of been PI but he mauled the receiver before the catch and wasn't flagged.

I feel like we've gotten the shaft most of the year from the officials, but we got the better end of the calls during the Bama game.

So many calls we didn't get but we get a phantom PI call on us.

The ref kept saying the wrong thing, too. He said that Bama accepted that penalty, but they didn't (why would they when the pass was caught?). He also said the wrong down 3 different times.

But later UT was all over the WR and it wasn't called.

Was a hold called all night? Does that penalty exist anymore?

Bama got called for a totally legit hold on the last TD drive. But, on the same drive they also got called for a chop block that simply didn't happen.

It was thrown right beside Kenyon Drake outside the box. Now he may have been down by contact, but there was no grounding...

Im not sure if it was Drake but yes they said there was a receiver in the area if i remeber it was thrown about 5 ft into the dirt in front of Coker and about 15 yrds behind said receiver running the other way and wasn't event looking back for a pass...

My favorite was the crooked-arm headlock around Barnett's neck. Not that that would be holding or anything.

Yeah and right after that he pulled his jersey from behind and Barnett still hit the QB.

It was the difference between a ~ 10 yard loss and a 1 yard gain, IIRC :censored:

^This. There was an eligable receiver close enough. His knee was closer to being down than it was closer to grounding.

Alabama has ALWAYS gotten the calls. EVEN in away games. I guess they pay more. That fact makes me hate them MORE; If that is possible.

I don't remember how many times he threw out of a sack, but here's a picture that shows he wasn't down yet. Not sure if that is the same play people are crying about.

Have not seen any discussion on the Coker intentional grounding no-call. I did not get to see the replay, so maybe there was an explanation. Did I miss something? If there is a link please add to this, or a previous thread, please merge.

The only thing that needs to be said it the the kicker misssed 3 field goals. The end.

All the rest of this is pointless.

THREE FIELD GOALS. HE IS A SCHOLARSHIP ATHLETE (who also missed critical kicks against OU, UF and so on)

I'm going to go throw up again and resume drinking.
