Absolutely....I don't care if I'm wrong, it happens all the time. But, I honestly cannot see a top 15 class with the amount of 3 stars or less we already have plus the few spots we have left.

man your the only person who gets it...these fools really have no clue...must be in a holler in east tennessee and not get out much

yeah lane kiffin and phillip fulmer always landed top 15 classes...so what is your point and what is our excuse for most of this century...seems like all the others have national and sec titles...

Shula and Zook loaded the cupboard for two good coaches, those coaches took that talent, won a decent percentage of games, recruited equally well, won more games, THEN recruited lights out.

We all get that talent wins games. But there's a little more to it than that.

you people really have to be kidding me...fulmer landed a top 15 class 80 to 90 percent of the time
Congrats on proving you have 0 credibility in such a short period of time. Have a nice day.

You do realize these kids haven't even started their senior season and their rankings will change right?

Alabama's class right now has 9 3* out of 14 total commits. That's 64 percent of the class is 3*. Its not like we are the only ones taking three stars.

Last 6 years....UT 24,6,33,10,12 and 16th...BAMA 16,14,3,1,5,and1....do the math...get real...we have had good recruiting and that averages to about 15...bama has done better, lsu better and uf better and you can tell the difference...BOTTOM LINE...

To all of you saying it's a waste of a scholarship would you rather it be jerod askew so you could have your star fix? Dooley has forgotten more about football than you'll ever know

A 3* is a solid player and if the coaching staff thinks he fits what we need so be it. Id take a 3* that plays with a chip on his shoulder over a 5* head case any day. Not saying all 5* are head cases, just saying.

hey moron its not a back peddle...i didnt know we were taking everything at 100 percent literal...if you do something 80 percent of the time you shouldnt be falling behind anybody...yet we were and continue to be...

We arent falling behind. Bama has 9 threes out of 14. Dooley has signed double digit fours each class. So, enjoy your day back peddle guy.

A few will, Peterman will get a bump and so will Peters IMO....but that's all I see now.

Edit: That's a whole lot of Peter....

really, then teach me something...maybe UT is falling behind because the fan base has no clue...lol...you people are hilarious and must love 6 to 8 wins every year...LOL

Why try to teach you what you can't see right in front of your eyes? You obviously have little to no understanding of the difference between a 15th ranked class and a 5th ranked class. You are completely leaving out the element of coaching and are acting like a team full of 4 and 5 star recruits will instantly "bring a program back" despite whether they fit needs or not.

We can have top 5 recruiting classes every year but if they are not balanced classes that address needs and qualify(for the most part) then it won't matter.

UT will be much better off with Dooley's steady recruiting methods than Fulmer's "grab at anything with a high star ranking" approach. There is no reason that UT can't compete for championships if we pull in top 15 classes every year.....we are talking about a minimal difference betwen top 5 and top 15.

Let me ask you this...would you have been happy to lose 3 games last year if we had a team full of 4 and 5 star players, a previous year's Heisman winner, and multiple 1st round picks who were considered one of the best at their position? That's what Alabama did with all their talent...I'm not even going to address how UF's talent did for them last year.

yeah losing 3 games means we won 10 with a bowl game....ill take it every year all the time...because if you do that you will happen upon a title or two...oh look that is exactly what Bama has done...and again they are top 5 this season...hate that it is our rival but we need to copy what they have done...remember when we were beating them 8 straight...seems like so long ago

Face it. We are not going to have a top 10 or a top 15 class this year based on stars. Blanc has speed and size. He could be developed into a WR, CB, or KO returner. With a few pounds, he could also play LB, S, or RB. Our coaches saw something in him, so quit whining. Franklin wanted him!
