I've always thought the TV Station would make for good multiplayer action.

It says will be releasing in the next couple of months. That sucks because GTA IV comes out next month. Hope these come out next week.

.
Infinity Ward's Southern California offices recently to check out the game's first downloadable map pack, which is coming later this spring.

They will use every second of that

the tv station looks awesome, and will be a nice change of pace from all of the outdoor levels. I'm not quite as pumped about creek, it seems similar to overgrown, but it should be a good map nonetheless. I hope these aren't too expensive to buy

i wonder how much we will actually be able to play these though. the comments on that article seemed like the reviews are mixed so far, and that the disappointments from other games map packs (halo) may keep a good bit of people from buying new maps for COD4. I hope it isn't difficult to get in a room where everyone has the maps...it would suck to have to play private match just to get to play the maps on some kind of regular basis.

I certainly wonder how IW will handle the new maps in the playlists. I don't know a good way to deal with it.

I'm not sure either. I guess they could scan and see if everyone has the new maps and then if so put it in the rotation more so than the other ones. And maybe they could create a new map playlist that lets you play a variety of gametypes on the new maps. That could get tiresome playing the same 4 maps, so they could mix in the original maps, but play the new 4 50%-75% of the time

Good point, as you presumably will have to pay for the maps, i'd figure 50%, at the very most, of active players will have them.

I'm impressed that it's taken roughly HALF the time to get new maps for COD4 as opposed to Halo3.

Broadcast and Chinatown look cool. Creek Kill I can't tell if I'll like it or not. Killhouse doesn't look all that great.

Even though I'm a mid-long range guy with my M16, I'm not sure I'll like Creek. We'll see.

Killhouse looks good to me. It looks like it will perfectly accommodate the style I use on Bog. Wall off half the map behind the hill, and just keep popping out from behind a crate. I don't see why they are calling it a "Small, confined space" it isn't nearly as small as shipment. In fact, it doesn't look all THAT much smaller than Bog.
