This is an excellent point and gets lost in all this QB discussion. It’s really unfair to expect either BM or JTS to step in SEC ready. Most knowledgeable fans, I think, understood the huge limitations they both had. That’s why I usually cringe when I read some post that actually think either was ready to be the man. Actually just from a physical standpoint aLone most reasonable observers could tell a huge difference.

It is not so much that fans thought either were the man but thought they would be better than JG. Average Qb play was the hope.
