Are you really still on the anti-Frank kick? The guy has coached in college. He understands that you have to recruit. He would be the best tactician of anyone on our board, and he could sell kids that he could get them to the League. Those are all excellent, excellent qualities.

I'm Pro-Frank, but I dont think he can leave the celtics at this point. We need a coach now... I'm resigning my self to Grant. Although, I do hope for a big name.

If the latest stuff is right, Grant's not even going to be in the running. And you're right, when Frank can leave is of paramount importance. I could foresee a plan that they could put together that might make it work by him staying in Boston, but who knows how it will play out.

I appreciate that. I'd love a big name like Dixon, but I kind of wish we would go ahead and name Marshall as HC so we could get back to recruits.

I wish it would be over with too. But, the good thing is that almost all the coaches on the list are excellent coaches.

Much better list than the last time when there was a vacancy. And if the right hire is made this time, we can literally shoot for the stars next time we need a coach.

We still are in the running with Dixon, but I still expect we will get a lesser known coach.

Agreed. But Marshall's still in the NIT, so we probably can't announce anything until they're done anyways.

If we try to hire Steve Fischer, someone at UT needs to be impailed. He left Michigan under a cloud of NCAA scrutiny that eventually penalized the school and the school pulled down its Final Four banners. Plus, you really want someone old enough to get Social Security checks?

Lawrence Frank hasn't coached in college since OJ Simpson wasn't a murderer. Not sure he'd be the best choice, especially since he's a highly paid NBA head coach in waiting.

I'd be willing to sacrifice a quick choice for the right choice. Last thing we need to do is rush this. I'd take a bad year or two to rebuild and have long term future success than have Buzz Ball 2, the Sequel play at TBA.
