I think its just a guess. So far in every coaching search, Hamilton has had smokescreens. No way this info is already out.

Frank is a longtime NBA guy, yes, now with one of the best organizations in pro basketball. I have to assume he'd want another nba gig before a gig at UT, and would seem a good shot to get one. So I'd be very surprised....

Some say he's unproven, but I wouldn't mind Anthony Grant. The guy just has the "it" factor. It would definitely be a gamble, but I think it's one worth taking.

Of the list mentioned, Frank is definitely the best case scenario.

Why not? If Doc retires as soon as speculated than no way he takes over this team. He's not big or proven enough to take over a vetern squad like that. I don't see Frank staying years as an assistant when he can go coach somewhere making a lot more money, especially on the college level. I think he accepted the job because a lot of people were speculating that Doc was going to retire and he was unemployed. He should be a head coach somewhere and I see this happening, even at the college level if another NBA team doesn't offer.
