Unless things go sideways (and who could forsee that happening), I expect Tennessee to decide to hire ALABAMA DC Jeremy Pruitt...Pruitt wants $ commitments for support staff but he is excellent leader, coach & recruiter & I think Fulmer sees that....

Fulmer also gauged the interest from a number of headliner head coaches, per sources, including Gary Patterson, Justin Fuente, even Auburn’s Gus Malzahn and former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops.

But with feigning interest from most sitting head coaches, Fulmer turned his attention to a trio of respected defensive coordinators from the SEC.

Said when Pruitt was a senior at Alabama, he went to the d coordinator and dissected and outplayed a way to go about scheming an particular scheme and gameplan...everyone was blown away with his way of thinking and foresight...said Pruitt's ahead of his time, at such a young age. Said he sees things a lot fast than most people see them, he's a great play scheme designer...Can recognize talent like no other. Said ggoooddd recruiter. Said he's a great choice. There's no question someone will be pleased who gives him a shot as an HC..

Jeremy Pruitt is used to being a Saban puppet so it makes sense for Fulmer to hire him.

Budget hire so UT can offset payments to Jones, Schiano, Currie, and possibly Leach.

I never tweet any rumors, but I just heard that Pruitt is a done deal and will be announced tomorrow. This is from a very reliable source. Not sure about assistants. Still trying to get that.
