I've noticed several have been fooled by fake Twitter sites and other troll attempts...thought I would toss out two of the better coaching rumor sites...if its being talked about it's probably on one of these.

Thought this was interesting, Miles or Briles to Houston?


Houston: Asked about the possibility of Art Briles returning to Houston as head coach, board of regents chairman Tilman Fertitta said ” ‘I would love for Briles to be on our super-short list, but until we can get full clarity I can’t see us going there,'” according to multiple local reports. With respect to Les Miles, Fertitta said, “I think we have interest in him and he has interest in us.” Fertitta later added that there will be a large buyout for the first few years worked into the contract of whoever Houston decides will be the next leader of the program.

I've seen several statements made by Houston's people about their coaching search. They have been pretty darn transparent through this process as compared to most any other search I've witnessed. Not saying I'm an expert when it comes to subject but this one has been pretty refreshing thus far.

We are actually going to be the first program to let the IBM computer that's won Jeopardy 100 times come in and be our head coach and play caller. With all of the money we're saving from not having to have a HC, OC, or DC, we're hiring 10-15 retired VFL's to be position coaches and/or player personnel directors. By using a very intense and deep set of algorithms, Coach IBM will call the games based on live game data and data sets from opponents' previous games.

There will also be a hologram Coach Neyland roaming the sidelines during games, coaching up the players, as a robotic box telling the kids what to do would be kind of weird.

Watson's pretty peculiar, but I think the message was clear. There isn't a coach anywhere who'd come to UT with the AD position still in the ether, nor after canning this particular HC so quickly. We've gotta' keep Butch here at all costs, so lighten up on the hate posts, negas, and see if you can survive a couple more years. If DeBord retires, then maybe that single coaching change, plus whatever S&C upgrade Butch is talking about, can keep the raging minority in check........................somewhat. AMIRIGHT?:yes:

Sadly, for that to work the body needed specific preparation for it to work, and Neyland died before they were discovered at area 51.
