At the end of the day, Dooley should not be our coach next year. if he gets to 7-5 it is a failure with the 6 easy games on our schedule this year.

If he is here with the schedule next year, he will be lucky to get a 5 - 7 recored as the schedule is more like last years.

finally.....Mmmmm Drugs are bad Mkay...Couldn't help myself there.

I like Dooley as a person, but in the last three years of conference play you have to ask who has he beaten not named Vandy, Kentucky, or Ole Miss, the bottom feeders of the SEC?

That alone tells me where this program is right now. Non-competitive in the SEC. If it remains the same at the end of this season then it is time to make a change.

**** that. If Dooley can't get it done this year, he'll never get it done, and it's time to pony up the cash to find someone who will.

There's no reason UT should be a middle/bottom of the pack SEC team year after year.

My biggest fear for us is we get in this paralysis situation because we are on the cusp. Cant keep him because he can't win, can't fire him because he has not had enough time and we don't want to start over. The record does not lie losing is losing. Do we want two or three more years of struggle then two or three more years with the right staff or get the right staff in here next year. Still have loads of ball left but we have to start winning. Beat MSU and win them all in Nov I would consider that progress. Anything else and pack it up. The bar has to be set, put up or shut up time.

If I were Hart, I would make it clear.

Dooley either wins VS Miss State, Troy, Vandy, Mizzou, UK, and keeps it within 2 TDs VS Bama and USCe or pack his bags. Let him know now where he stands. Let him fight to keep his job. I don't think it matters. He will have a bad loss to a team we should beat before the year ends.

Agreed. If we get into that gray area, we will be a bad team for a while. 3 years is enough time to show improvement against (FL, SC, GA, AL). Zero wins in 3 years against them is enough information to make a change. Who that is I don't know. I like the though of Gruden because:

Suberbowl Winner - Has won at the highest level and players respect that.

NFL Ties - Shows players he knows what it takes to get to the NFL which will bring players to us.

UT Ties - He is a Tennessee Guy with a Tennessee Wife.

QB Guru - Can think of no one to help with our QB's better.

All these attributes = great recruiting, excellent coaching and a better future for UT.
