Please lord let us get rid of CJC as well!!! Or at least get someone else to do the play calling!

I was thinking, since the defensive backfield did poorly this season, and we all anticipate Joseph being fired, being that Joseph is the recruiting co ordinator, will that in itself help to save his job?
It couldn't be good to fire your recruiting co cordinator during recruiting season.

I hope it's not too drastic. We really do not need the players having to learn a new system, that's one thing that killed us the last few years of Fulmers tenure.

I can't see any coaching changes being made right now, with in-homes and recruiting being a top priority at the moment. With that being said, stranger things have happened, I guess.

seems like CHH had potential when he came in and pass protection did improve significantly (from 41 sacks to 18 this year).. but with no OL recruits this year, it sounds like that would make the most sense..

I would tell CHH and CER to kick rocks. Dooley can coach TE and ST because he's done TE coaching before with Saban. Get Larry Porter to be running backs coach and a top notch OL coach and we will be good to go. IMO then the only weak link would be Terry Joseph and that's Dooley's version of Pat Washington, so don't see him going unless the scrutiny got to be too much.

I wonder what Swain would have felt like if he was on the team and a former, decent, football player was trying to be his buddy. Trying to get his nose up all in his business, so he could be the first to blab about it.

It will not be Joseph....He will get the benefit of the doubt this year. Very difficult to overcome losing your best safety, moving your best corner to replace your best safety...using a true freshman to replace your best corner...losing your other starting safety and replacing him with another true freshman.

Lanier, Colman and Randolph all showed improvement...especially Randolph! Eric Gordon played well in the nickel and B. Moore showed Improvement and got a lot more playing time as the season went on(some of that due to injuries).

Considereing all of this there are not many DB coaches in the country that could overcome this and do well.

Agree. Being too thin and young in the secondary will cause problems.

This.

Joseph isn't going anywhere right now. Not sure why people are assuming he's gone. He had freshmen all year.

Not to mention the fact that Joseph has us in the ballpark with guys like Landon Collins and has secured an OV from him in a few weeks.

Three guys that need to be on staff for a while IMO are:

Terry Joseph
Lance Thompson
Peter Sirmon - break bank to keep Sirmon. Beast on recruiting trail and coaching LB's.

Run blocking got worse too...and is it possible our sacks went down some due to Bray being better at throwing it away versus Simms just holding on to the ball forever and taking a sack? Pass blocking is better over all though if that makes sense.
