At this point, all I can do is hope they do what's right and promote CLT. He deserves it far more than any of the names I'm seeing floated around at this stage, plus it'd help unite the team more.

On Kevin Steele, he is scheduled to be back at Clemson today. The Tigers have a team meeting tonight at 6pm. We are continuing to be told there are some issues with Steele and Sweeney but that the Tigers haven't made any decisions on Steele's future.

If we get a fired DC from Clemson who gave up 70 points in his most recent game, I'm honestly not sure you could do much worse. Well, we could hire that Spangler dude I guess, but wow.

Clemson is not firing Steele and before the Orange Bowl he was a pretty good coach and an elite recruiter. Post Orange Bowl he's still those things. Thinking otherwise is shortsighted and just plain stupid. JMO

I agree with you on the position coach or co DC with LT, but if we hire him as our DC and he has been fired from Clemson then you are talking about a PR nightmare and a VN meltdown
