I believe CDD will turn our program completely around, as in starting to win more games and satisfying the boodthirsty fans that are still butthurt over Fulmer getty the axe. He's proven his plan is starting to work, ie; the arrest record, stability, recruiting pretty good even with the stuff the other coaches are telling recruits to turn them away from us. Otha Peters is one example the ignorants got to go the other way. He admitted that Petrino showed him blogs and msg boards where posters were saying negative things about CDD and stating that he was on th hotseat and was getting fired. Well guess what, Otha listened, he believed. That's why all the negative stuff against our coach hurt us because he was shown this stuff by Petrino and went to Arkansas instead. It's unbelievable what other coaches will do to sway a recruit. All the posters that voices negative opinions, not in discussion of football, but in the discussion of our coach getting fired and being on the hotseat, which wasn't true.

It's ridiculous to see the UT Head Coach only garner $1.8/yr. You get what you pay for. Dooley may turn out to be a bargain, but if this year doesn't work out, UT needs to throw some serious dollars to get a top-level coach. The USF HC makes more than the UT Head coach? What a Joke!

I've asked before, but how much money does UT really have to throw around these days? They owe everyone money, and the stadium renovations are not done yet. I am just curious

Surely UT has some donors out there who would be more than willing to foot the bill for a big name.

UT has been one of the highest grossing athletic departments in the nation for several years now. People were talking about it when we did the last coaching search.

The athletic department under Hamilton upgraded the facilities of almost every sport (something he doesn't get enough credit for) Tennis, Swimming & Diving, Lindsay Nelson, Softball, TBA, Neyland, Basketball practice facility have all been recently upgraded and the football complex is under way.

I don't know what the financing on those buildings is like, but the AD generates a TON of revenue.

Should be of no surprize and if you lose your job it really doesn't matter where you rank.Our guy has the chance to keep his it is very simple motivate them and win

Dooley gets paid less than everyone else in the SEC other than James Franklin and Joker Philips (by only 50 grand!) so yes, I agree. It seems so far anyway that you get what you pay for.

The only donor names that I hear that make any real noise are the haslems and some guy named thunder. I heard recently by (don't kill me for this) "hymes" that UT has about 5 Mill on the back burner where the likes of Bama has like 80 Mill....
