Just sitting here watching Bama vs. LSU and one of the key things that I have noticed is the Head Coaches attitude. When one of Bama of LSU player screw up, it is Saban or Miles that gets up in the players face first, kind of like Muschamp.

Would this type of aggressive behavior benefit our Vols? Dooley just doesn't seem to get that pissed at the players and it appears at times that the players just blow the other coaches off.

respect is earned. thats why the players blow off the coachs and Dooley doesn't do it cause he doesn't want to get popped in the mouth. :boxing2:

Yeah, cause that's how football, or any other sport works.

Edit: and people are actually agreeing with you. Further proof that most of volnation has never played football or any other sport in their entire lifetime.

You are correct about the respect being earned. I believe if our HC would lay the law down, our teams discipline problem would get fixed quickly.

The talent is there, just needs some discipline instilled in our players.

Yeah I thought about that too. When the Bama kid fumbled that punt. Saban made one quick sharp remark to him and turned and walked off.

Dools is just so hopeless, there is no way to get there from here.

Why because he said that respect is earned? I have played sports at the collegiate level and have led men in combat. Respect is earned and not a right just because of position. If I misunderstood your comment, I apologize.

Naturally i have no idea but I would have thought it was this part he was referencing: Dooley doesn't do it cause he doesn't want to get popped in the mouth

Yeah those coaches do get in their players face when they mess up. And is it not funny that Saban,Miles and Muschamp have their teams at the top of the SEC and ranked in the top ten in the Nation.

You may be spot on and that is why I wanted to state that I misunderstood his intent, I apologize. After rereading, you are probably right.

It's too late for Dools. He lost the team last year. He's lost the team this year. He can't do the job. Get over it. Hope the next one knows it's better to apply consistent discipline with the first offense.

Everyone from AD to water-boy must be held accountable!!! DO YOUR DAMN JOB or there will be CONSEQUENCES.......Good coaches hold them selves accountable as well as their players........

I personally don't believe you have to scream and look like you could kill a kid who made a mistake. Anyway, I don't believe a real coach has to do that to motivate, i.e. Bill Snyder, Kansas State.
GO VOLS!

It is no accident that Bama, FL, and LSU are at the top of the SEC and continually at or near the top of the NCAA. Great coaching brings great results on the field; whereas, mediocre coaching brings mediocre results on the field. Most Vol fans are tired of mediocre - GBO!

Either the secondary is not coachable...or the coaches got them so messed up with fancy assignments ....either way, both are non functional.
