That'd be Lane Kiffin. Not impressed you say. Who do you think follows him on Twitter? You better believe that a lot of them are top young HS athletes. Like him or not, he brings a top recruiting class to town this year. That's what defines a splash hire. Fulmer as AD, we get a ripple, and the only folks that get soaked is us, the fans. Being Lane Kiffin: Irreverent fun on Twitter, winning games at FAU

They are not going to hire Lane Kiffin.

Are the Kiffin people the same as the Gruden people?

Kiffin was never coming here anyway. Just get over it already. I would welcome him but its just not going to happen as long as Jimmy "mosquito dick" Haslam is running the show.

Butch would have a job by now if people hired on Twitter numbers

I think butchs next stop is a ST position in the league. Butch couldn't coach a fly when having to manage anything outside of his clipboard but will be a great special teams coach. Had the best here I can remember

Yeah, well, the Cosby show had 30 million households watching it every week but that doesn't mean I want Bill taking my wife out for cocktails.

I think you are confusing spectacle for substance

This Lane train needs to be derailed or driven off a cliff. This university needs to stay as far away from that man as possible.

Chances are greater that Fulmer becomes AD, announces at presser he's going to have dual roles and become the next UT football coach before he agrees to Kiffin becoming the next coach.

Would love it if Kiffin was coming - but do you seriously think with CPF as AD now, that is going to happen? bwahahahahahahaha

Look, we all know that the research into the correlation between Twitter followers and success of a coach is beyond reproach. But I just can't follow this one.

As in the case of people saying Gruden will NOT come, I'm going to say Kiffin will NOT be hired

we fired fulmer, and he's back; in the most powerful position at ut. we didn't even fire kiffin. why the hell can't we bring him back? he didn't start this prolonged decline. fulmer did. it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he hires randy sanders. the king of mediocrity has finally made it to the haslam throne. unbelievable. as f'd up as this program is, i would expect our next ad to be butch jones.

Fulmer said he wanted passionate fans to be united. At this point in this circus, get the one coach who would say yes right now- Lane!

The key difference, IMO, is that Kiffin is obtainable. Now you can argue he's not good enough or we won't try but it's at least within the realm of possibility.
