This is it. This is what all the hoopla is about and the four players in question have been cleared from any impropriety coming from Donnie Tyndall. It's exactly what he told the NCAA just like he said he would. He has said from Day 1 that he would co-operate fully and has done just that. He has also said that this investigation has had zero affect on his recruiting. We'll soon see on that front, too. The only thing left is to have 9 players next year that he picked to go along with the 3 he inherited. They will make an NCAA run next year just exactly like the football Vols did with their bowl run. The football Vols were 5-7 in year one of the Butch Jones era. The basketball Vols were 16-16 in the first year of the Tyndall era. The second year was 7-6 in football. Next year, look for 19 or 20 wins from the basketball team. Amazing to me just how similar they are!

We'll be better next year, 19-20 wins isn't out of the question, or a stretch by any means. Yeah we lose Richardson, but we'll be better as a overall team. Players can develop, plus they all will have one more year in Tyndalls system.

Here is your answer previously posted, "Here is what is going on in this NCAA investigation and why it is taking so long. The NCAA has major egg on its face when they unknowingly sent an investigator to Southern Miss who had worked with the source of the allegations for four years. When they found out, they gingerly backed him out of the investigation. Now they are searching for something, anything, to charge Tyndall with and are finding nothing. If they don't come up with something, they will be facing a major news breaking lawsuit by Coach Tyndall and the University of Tennessee. Coach Tyndall's lawyers in the interview threatened to go directly after this conflict of interest, the NCAA dropped the benefits accusations from the original story in the interview, and shifted to academic improprieties. Evidently they found the potential academic records problem at Central Florida University accepted by Southern Miss which Coach Tyndall had no oversight over. All of this is why I say some sort of deal may be in the works. Stay tuned!"

At one point you said NOTHING was going to happen with Tyndall. Now you're saying a deal is going to be made. People don't make deals unless they are guilty.

If this is your scenario, it only works if Howard and Rush were not involved.
It works if you choose to believe they left only for personal reasons.
Under the rules laid out in 2013, the HC is responsible for promoting a climate of compliance in academics.
he could still receive a suspension for 'failure to monitor.'
Reason for drawing it out: the precious ncaa Tourney.

And you have any proof that they were involved in anything whether Tyndall knew about it or not? Rush did not cite personal reasons. He cited a family situation involving his grandmother if you'd like to criticize that.

Did you expect him to write "I'm resigning because I was the culprit in the violations at Southern Miss?" Come on man. 2 assistants leave at the same time for personal reasons right after an NCAA investigation is announced? Where there's smoke, there's fire.

Who's criticizing. Just said your scenario could have holes in it.

And he's held responsible for his staff's action if they were involved and he didn't know.

You know, none of this scuttlebutt means anything. Donnie Tyndall did not lie to the NCAA. The administrators, the big money people, and the fans all love him and have his back. He is going to be the coach of the basketball team for the rest of his career and could go down in history as the greatest coach in Tennessee history if he nabs that elusive national championship, which the Pit Bull says is his lifelong dream, for the Vols. Those who like to think differently are in for a big surprise and a lot of woe is me during the coming years.

We don't always see eye to eye, but I agree. There were too many times this year we had to rely on Josh because other players on our team didn't show up. Now without Josh, players will be forced to play better, they can't get bailed out now. I honestly believe that Punter, Hubbs, Baulkman, Carmichael, Owens and McGhee know what they have to improve on. Other than Baulkman, I know all the players I mentioned are hard workers. We'll be way better next year. Expect results similar to Vandy this year.
