Coach T and students

Winning sells better than style imo

And I absolutely agree. My concern was going to be always being the bridesmaid with top notchers and having season just okay to good. I'd rather go thru growing pains and have the opportunity for a great yr. and I never felt like that was a possibility.

Sweet 16 is a pretty great year IMO, one of the better years in Tennessee basketball history.

When I was a student, we didn't need to have our asses kissed to go to football and basketball games.

I'm a student and I love this post

He's coaching a basketball team his job is to win games, it's not to please the student

Or they have better things to do. Just sayin..I'll be there as much as I can, but the teams probably going to be hard to watch at times.

Let's cut practice short one night so he can baby the students and order them some pizza. Don't forget their goldfish and juice boxes smh. Have them gather around TBA and read them a nice little story before they go back to their dorms and go to sleep.

Or assemble a basketball team that wins games. That'll be enough for most. Where did I say they need to be treated like children?

Maybe schedule games earlier since most will obviously be past their bed time. LOL

Didn't realize he coached any games yet?
You didn't but the way you guys sound it's like you guys have to be begged to go to a game.

Okay, well I can guarantee you that if this team wins basketball games the students will be there.

Thinking that students need to be given something to show up is dumb. Win and they'll be there. Period.

Disagree. While winning games may please the students, pleasing the students doesn't win games. Therefore, they are not one and the same.

I didn't mean they work interchangeably. I meant..

Winning games = pleased students (they show up)

I can't imagine a scenario where the students are happy and we're losing. Unless they're giving away free money or booze at the games.

Yes, it is the students/fans' job to fire up and motivate the team....not the other way around. The what's in it for me attitude drives me crazy!!! Go to the game, put the phones up, scream your head off, and have fun with your friends. It's really that simple.

I know for a fact Tyndall has been around to most of the fraternities' chapter meetings with a few of his staff. Not sure how this doesn't meet your standard of "getting students fired up", especially since they've played all of 1 game so far and the football team looks to be improving.

Dear Freak,

Can I get some type of waiver or something so that I can "like" this post about 800 times?

Sincerely,
KB

Was at my daughter's sorority speaking to them about attending games 3 weeks ago Sunday.
