After witnessing the antics of several coaches over the last couple of weeks I would like to thank Coach Rick Barnes for his class.
CRB has his faults as anyone does but he's a true professional in his sport and well respected by his peers.

If our coach was Wade, Davis, Calipari and several others I'm probably overlooking I would be embarrassed for our team and the community. No matter how many games they win.

IF CRB stubs his toe and doesn't take us to the promised land, be patient. Don't run this man off because they don't reach the final four or win it all. Remember we could be stuck with one of those dolts from another school.

Thanks again Coach Rick Barnes and best of luck the rest of this season and seasons to come.

Anyone who thinks Rick Barnes should be forced out needs mental help:rolleyes:

Lest we forget...........Coach Penny "cry-baby" Hardaway needs to be added to this list for sure.............But I agree, its nice to have a coach with some class and not a whiny coach who acts like some of these millennial's, stomping their feet about every little thing that doesn't go their way.

working the refs is a technique that every coach doesn't have...close to the edge but not crossing it...Coach Wade is one of the best at this...don't blame him at all...it helped get him a win over us...still glad we have Coach Barnes though, but Coach Wade was my first choice...:D

GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!

in no way should fans run CRB off. his belief in taking players and making them better and building the textbook team takes time. He is just now reaping the benefits of his approach. UT should stay in the top 20 for years to come.

Am I the only one here that had to google the word " dolt " to figure out what it was?

Strongly disagree. Barnes is a solid coach obviously. But I'd rather have a more unlikeable coach that win more games every year. Do Duke or UK fans give a damn that their coaches are dbags? Nope. I do not understand your logic.

Well of course that's your opinion just as I have my opinion. It appears numerous people on this one forum understand my logic, and agreed.

Barnes is an OG. He is stone hard. Nothing will phase him. I just hope we get 3 more years out him but don't blame him if he retires.if you polled the junior level coaches on who they would most want to learn from Barnes is at the top...

Rick Barnes is the classiest of men! Proud to have him as Tennessee’s coach! Only one team wins the NC each year. Only a handful of teams are really in the hunt and Tennessee is one of those teams! Enough said

Barnes is a class act and so are the young men he recruits to play for him. No legal issues, failed drug tests or academic problems with the athletes under his watch.
