Glad he got another opportunity, hopefully he makes the most of this one.Heck of a school to make ur hay at but u do what u gotta do.If he can turn them around like he has most places,he will be set for a long time.I think their record with Tim was 20-80 or something along those lines. It wasn't good let's just say that lol.

So he coaches a few seasons at the JUCO/CC level, has a great record, coached multiple NFL players, was though of as an early (maybe first?) adopter of the RPO...hitches his wagon to Pruitt and now coaches some awful HS team

Just goes to show he probably isn’t that good of a coach

How you chose career opportunities is also a factor in how good you are overall at your career.

He has a strange resume. Regardless of his "supposed" high offensive acumen, he hasn't really sparked any interest from other schools.

Might be he limited his job search to within 30 miles of knoxville. Never know what matters.

I think he is underrated by too much. He is a lot like Hal Mumme. He was so far ahead of the curve that he is not really given true credit for the actual trail he blazed.

Too bad The Vols never used much of his knowledge or skill in the offensive scheme while he was here. We just waited to see it, and were disappointed because we, apparently, had no QB with the wherewithal to execute one option, much less three on each play.

His coaching clinic youtube vids look interesting and too advanced for the offenses of the Pruitt years.

I was excited when he came here. But didn’t seem like he made any impact. That could have been solely due to Pruitts idiocy.

Crying shame if he truly were an offensive genius to be saddled with Pruitt as his head coach. Dude likely set his coaching career back just by coming here unfortunately.

Not sure what you're getting at here but if you're suggesting that he should've turned Pruitt down I have to disagree. How many JUCO coaches do you know who wouldn't accept a job in the SEC? In 2020 he likely made 10x what he would have made at a JUCO.

Where is Heritage HS?

On highway 321 outside of Maryville, just before the entrance to the Foothills Parkway, and last stop before you get to the quiet side of the Smokies featuring Townsend, and if you don't take the left to stay on 321 there, the entrance to the park and Cades Cove. Oh yeah, just under 12 miles from my house. Oddly enough if any kids on my street were of HS age they would be zoned there, even though Alcoa, Maryville, and even South Doyle in Knox County are actually closer, Alcoa nearly twice as close.

10 miles from the airport.
