In any case, this whole question about Coach O getting paid more at USC isn't really that relevant anyway. If the socialists who have taken over our country have their way, the rest of us will be bailing out the bankrupt and fiscally irresponsible state of California very soon. If Coach O's salary is included in that bailout, we will be paying his salary either way . . . HA!

spoken like someone who has never been to los angeles. i'm sure the housing prices are 10X what they are in east tenn because people think living in los angeles sucks.

I lived in L.A. for ten and a half years and can unequivocally state that it is the anus of this entire planet. When I finally got back to TN I wondered how in the hell I was ever able to live there.

I love every single part of California except the LA area. I could live anywhere else in the state, but I wouldn't even want to spend a week in LA again. All it is is 300 miles of suburban sprawl with People magazine plastered across the whole thing.

People that speak English and have lived somewhere other than L.A. usualy don't live there very long. It's neat to visit in the winter but a horrible place to live.

Wouldn't they have to pay him over a million dollars for a lateral position, due to the huge cost of living increase? Last time I looked, it was pretty much double the cost of living here in the south.

To quote a news article from this evening;

"A 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of California Saturday afternoon..."

A snowy January day with a view of the Smoky Mountains aint so bad.

Tornados, rain, ice storms, humidity, bugs, should I go on? Jk. I love TN to death.

I doubt Coach O would leave after only 1 year. Especially after Lane and Monte moved heaven and earth to bring him here. Remember, he could have gone to LSU, his home.

Coach O is the assistant head coach/DL coach and recruiting coordinator AND Montes right hand man getting paid around $650k a year. I don't see him leaving unless its for a head coaching job somewhere.

Why does a Trojan live on the VN board. USC must be one hell of a program. And LA heaven on earth. DEEP sarcasm intended!!!

How did you know that he is a USC fan? Did the Trojan mascot in his avatar give him away?
