Coach most feared by competition

My hope is that if Blackburn and Fulmer lead a coup de tat and take over, they consider Kiffin. Gonna be a lotta pride swallowing and ego’s set aside. However if it’s truly about making UT relevant and a winner again, hard to go wrong with Lane.

I would like to think if Currie, Haslam, and Peyton are kicked out, Majors would be brought into the fold as well.

Pretty sure none of his competition in the Pac12 was scared. Or the AFC West or SEC prior to that..

Hard to believe that anyone would want Kiffin back after the way he pooped on Tennessee and everyone who loves it on his way out the first time.

I got the feeling that he thought the people of our state were beneath he and his family and could not WAIT to get back to California to escape us rednecks.

Just. No.

So you would not leave your current job if your dream job came open and it was offered to you?

Are folks forgetting HOW he left? Weren't people ready to tar and feather Kiffin at that time? I really don't think people were quite as angry as they were simply because. man chose to leave for his dream job. Do you?

Kiffin is a clown. He had his chance here and at usc. No, no, no. He is a mid major head coach.

Oh I'm sorry. Did the OP mention HC or OC? Oh, that's right.. and pretty sure that had more to do with Saban than Kiff.

Hmmm, last time I checked Saban was a defensive guy. But oh thats right, Saban calls all the offensive plays huh?

His entire team and agent wanted him to leave right away and fly to USC. He wanted to do a press conference before he left to address people. That never happens.

I’ll give him credit for that.

Think about this. In Saban's last five years without Kiffin (2010-2013, 2017), Saban only has one divisional title.

In three years with Kiffin, Saban won the SEC every year.

I get why he left. It was likely the only college job he'd leave for.

What I don't get is why we'd want him back after he failed at his dream job.

Under those sanctions I’m sure it was tough. You do acknowledge the sanctions? Right?

Once again, were we debating his merits as a HC or OC? Turns out they're different..

We are debating his merits as a football coach.

Right now, Tennessee needs a real football coach or an elite recruiter. Lane provides both despite his flaws.
