Coach Manning

Hey y'all Vol fans! Long time member here. Seeing a lot of whining so I have to step in and see if anyone thinks Peyton is coming to coach Marshall? We know that if he does,he can be the GOAT and we would destroy Bama and everyone else. I believe he would enjoy that more than MNF and getting the chance to coach your son like Deion had been doing would be an absolute dream to most men. Coaching your alma mater and son? We know Heupel is going to the NFL after he wins the Natty. The Neyland Entertainment Center should be open by the time Marshall arrives, what do you guys think about this? Don't call me crazy. I AM crazy. But I'm telling the truth. Go Vols!
Has your mother had you tested :) :) :)

I can see there are a bunch of people who are totally dismissive of the fact that Peyton has a deep love for his Tennessee Vols. He also loves his son and I believe would have a more enjoyable experience coaching him and leading us to 4 NCs than he had playing here. He doesn't have to be Saban to be a great coach. Saban was great at cheating and getting the best players by giving them Mercedes and Caddys. Peyton Manning is a much bigger star than Saban was. Peyton has a love for football and I think this is a likely scenario. Peyton would not have to be here working 20 hours per day if he chose to delegate a lot of traditional coaching responsibilities to others and concerned himself with the QBs, recruiting, and being the figurehead. He would be the lead story of every sports show nearly daily. The Peyton and Marshall drama would be infinitely more enjoyable and marketable to the general public than Deion and Shadeur. Peyton has a very comical and loveable personality that would make Tennessee the most loved program in the nation overnight. I have yet to see anyone post any actual reasons to think this is not going to happen. Only jokes about my sobriety and sanity. I assure you that I am sober and more sane than most people here. God bless and Go Vols!
The fact that you think we should reduce the HC spot at the University of Tennessee to a "media figurehead and part time QB coach" is comical and a little insulting.

It's a serious job at a serious football school, not a toy for the media nor the Manning family and while you may not realize that fact, I'm certain Peyton Manning does.

I have the feeling Peyton wants to be an NFL owner, or at least a partial owner. That takes more money than a Hall of Fame ex-NFL Quarterback earned during their career, despite the current outrageous contracts. That's why he'll take virtually any paid advertisement gig tossed his way. He's saving his money. And it also explains why was never interested in a coaching job (which is a brilliant decision, nothing good could come from him coaching).

I am surprised he hasn't taken a front office job like John Elway. That would be a good entre into the business side of the NFL for him.

I don't think Peyton will ever put his good standing with the university and fans at risk. The only other person more beloved in Tennessee is Dolly Parton.

First so-so season and our fanbase will turn on him like a pack of wolves. Lol
He said that on some radio interview, when asked if would ever coach at Tennessee, he said no. When asked why he said “ right now the people of Tennessee love me”

Exactly I mean a lot of people here hate the only good coach we've had in the past 70 years

Peyton and his brothers, will do just like Archie did. And guide quietly, and calmly from the rear of the boat. Never will it be about them. Peyton knows with his celebrity, coaching would make this about him.

Can always tell it’s the off season. Time for ridiculous threads about Manning coming back to coach and rewriting Fulmer history and sabbaticals. Laugh out loud funny.
