Head Coach Jerry Kill: "First of all, I have a tremendous amount of respect for Coach Fulmer and Tennessee and the football tradition here. The opportunity to play Tennessee is a dream. It is a tremendous dream for us and I thought our kids played as hard as you could ask anybody to play. We had a chance to win but the big thing is they are bigger, faster and stronger. They have a good football team. There is no question about that. A tremendous defensive football team.

I bet he was thinking "And a pitiful offensive one."

Our defense is outstanding this year, except we can't get sacks and we start slow in the 1st quarter

And the 3rd down defense is still inadequate. We have a hard time getting off the field especially against good offensive teams.

1 td in last 2 games is good D. NIU is not an offensive/defensive slouch and before I'm bashed I know they're a 2-3 MAC team. However their prior losses were by less than a TD. In the last two games they had not given up a TD. I guess what I'm saying is either we suck or NIU was a pretty good team.

I will agree that our 3rd down defense needs to learn to stop a drive and get off the field. The time of possession is bothersome.

Didn't Coach Skill say the objective of the Huskies was to stop the runs obviously implying they would make the new QB beat them with the pass? Stephens up to the challenge.
