Coach Jones! Suit Worley up this Saturday!

I take it this is a f***ing joke, right?

No but it is quite possibly really stupid if I put a poll in the thread!! :)

I do completely understand the likely hood of this happening (edit: and that is zero)

Somebody did bring up a great point. It would elevate him to more than the team and I agree that would send the wrong message.

How about he suits up and goes out for the coin toss? (genuine question; I don't know if there is some weird restriction on who can be at the toss.)

Make him an honorary captain if you have to be a captain, and if he isn't one.

My daughter had labrum surgery, and she wouldn't let anyone get within 2 yards of her for a while. I don't think it would be too smart to be facing 11 defenders right after surgery. JMO :hi:

edit: VolsFanTX out-typed me. :hi:

I do hope everyone in Neyland gives Justin a really loud and long ovation and all of our other seniors as well. The man did his very best and gave his all for Tennessee. He's a leader and a VFL.

Just make him a captain. Send him out for coin toss

Edit: Better yet send him out alone, give him the standing O.

Let the young man take the first snap for the Vols!!! The kid earned it. He's a warrior and he gave everything he had to give for us! Let him open the game for us please.

And before you guys flame me read what I'm saying. It's Senior Day. Let him go out on a high note but he physically can't play the whole game due to his injury. But I really think he's earned this

Nobody (should) doubt what Worley has sacrificed for the VOLS. He has definitely "given his all". The young man is hurt and unfortunately is finished. He cannot and should not take any more snaps. He has nothing to prove (at least to me). Worley is a VFL period!

I was at the VOL Walk and I didn't see him. Assumed he wanted that same 2 yards also. It gets pretty tight down Peyton Pass.

Couldn't you let him do it at the end in victory formation?

And then we'll all b***h at him and blame him for losing another coin toss :)

But yeah a good idea too however I don't see us not sending AJ out for that last toss either

If it's senior night, I would say let him take the last snap so the game can end on his victory formation. This would give him a standing ovation to end the game as he exits Neyland for the last time.

And yes, I am assuming we are beating Mizzou.

How about just cheer loudly when he gets introduced before the game?

the Sentinel had a pic of him this a.m. His arm is in a sling, almost immobilized. I don't think he could write his name, much less take a snap.

smh

Yea I'm sure his parents and the UT account that pays for his medical bills would be real happy about that especially if/when he takes a sack on that surgically repaired shoulder.

Oh, that doesn't matter. Just let him wear it over his uniform. He can take the snap with one hand while wearing the sling on the other arm. Easy, right?

I'd be more comfortable with that than Peterman handing it off

No way this should or will happen. They should honor him on the big screen though! He is the most disrespected and underrated player in UT history, he gave his all but just didn't fit this offense. It would've been hard for Peyton with this offense. It took a dual threat and didn't we find a dandy in Dobbs.

You put Peyton behind this line the way there were playing at the start of the season and he may not have lived thru game 4. HUGE Manning fan as are most on here but you think Worley is slow Peyton couldn't get off campus with all 4 qtrs of game time and a bus ticket. But... He didn't have to and the rest is football history
