And take a look at Adam Mitchell. He is a WR for Tennessee High School and is a beast. Last year he had a record year and this year is a little down because of o-line issues but this kid needs to be in Orange next year. With a little work in the weight room and added weight he would be a prolific tight end. You throw it up and he will catch it. Offer this kid!

Halfway down the page take a look at the picture of this catch. This was something to see live as it was a 25 yard fade that was thrown to the corner of the endzone and that defender was actually in front of him and he took a step up to get in front of him and still came down with the 1 handed grab. This kid is good!

He's good, but nothing more then walkon material. He's getting recruited by small schools.

I will kindly disagree. Love Brenden Downs but he is much better and Downs is starting TE this year.

I can see what your saying. But if he's so good why did he only get like 2 targets against DB? He's blessed to have Henley. And his cannon of a arm.

With our recruiting class, I just don't see Mitchell better then Booth, Creamer, or possibly Malone at WR, and he's not better then Wolf or Helm at TE.

No room. Folks must realize that we have a real recruiter now, and we won't always have room for projects. There are kids all across the state that are good/maybe great, but we are recruiting top notch players.

Downs is 6'6" 250lbs, runs a 4.65 forty and won the slam dunk contest as a junior in high school at The Arby's Classic and starts for UT.

Mitchell's street cred?...........

I watched Tennessee High play Elizabethton and I didn't see anyone Tennessee High stand out.I do remember Ethan Thomas rushing for over 300 yards.

If you're his father, you're a disliked man. The only thing I found from googling Adam's name is a comment saying you yell and berate high schoolers at games.

^^^ Exactly. Butch has been around east TN plenty of times, would have caught on if this kid is so "special."

^^^ Pretty much discredits everything about you. You can't sit there and tell me that a high school kid from the tri-cities is better than a tight end playing for a major D-1 university that was HIGHLY recruited out of HS.. unlike this kid you're talking about who NOONE has heard about.

Great. I'm sure the trees in Switzerland are pretty too but what the heck does that have to do with what I said? You bolded a comment where I stated that there is no way a current high school senior is better than a TE (Downs) who is on UT's roster.

So please inform me on how that comment ^^^^ makes any sense at all, other than stating an obvious fact. I'll hang up and listen..

Folks, we are in a position to turn down some of the top prospects in the country. No offense to anyone else, but I'll roll with Butch, and let him get to whatever dang games he feels like.
