and everyone deserves a trophy too, right? sheesh!I totally agree with you and I hope for his children's sakes he is more encouraging at home as a father. Some may see it as tough love, but coming from a psychological standpoint, to never give praise when praise is due is not how you get the best performance out of someone.
I think if you want a Butch Jones then you get a loser. Want a winner? Get a guy who is always thinking of how to improve.Did anyone watch the postgame interview right after the game? Even with a big win like this which gets us bowl eligible, JG has a big passing game, 3 100 yard receivers...CJP is still so negative and the only thing he could say is the team didn't play smart and he just focused on all the negative aspects. Even the interviewer sarcastically had to get CJP to acknowledge all the good that happened in thus game...even after this, CJP still just focused on all the mistakes and couldn't enjoy the positives!! I think he should lighten up a little bit. Take some cues from positive coaches like PJ Fleck for example
Same can be said of the Kentucky game. Both were a gnats eyelash from a loss. Difference I see now than in the last couple of years....there was time when you just knew the catastrophe was immanent and (like the BYU game) and it was just a matter of time before we shot ourselves in the foot and lost the game. At least now, we have not let that happen in a while. . Hopefully JG's bama fumble was some sort of low water mark.Don’t confuse negativity with never being satisfied. We won but we didn’t play well at all. A number of simple, basic fundamentals nearly cost us the game. If Tennessee cleans up half of those they win by 10-14 minimum.

So he wasn’t very positive. I was excited for the win and the team especially JG. I’ll take the win although it wasn’t pretty. I hope they have a better game next week, big win on a positive note. Then all can celebrate!! Everyone wanted a willing coach, now it seems some want that coach to also be a great public relations guy. Have you ever listen to some of Steve Spurrier’s post game comments. We will need to chill out and celebrate the road win. GO VOLSDid anyone watch the postgame interview right after the game? And I'll go one step further. JG's wake up call happened on the one yard line in Tuscaloosa.Maybe that’s true, but I truly believe that this team needed to lose the first two games as a wake up call. I know it’s crazy but to me it seems to be the case

I would be like Pruitt on this one. We should have been up by 3 scores but we just kept making mistakes. Mizzou was in that game only because we kept opening the door for them. We were lucky to win that game after the mistakes we made which proves how bad Mizzou really was.
