Coach Jeremy Pruitt talking about values

We used to be taught that it's impolite to discuss religion and politics. Seems like it would be good to reintroduce that instruction.

Saban uses the prospect of NFL money as his carrot. With NFL falling in popularity I’m sure he’ll use donor money.

That and "creative financing" at his car dealerships.

Who does the Volunteer recruits "creative financing"?

The big question is can he drive a tractor and can he dip and drink a coke at the same time?

I agree with you here - that is a good test.

Perhaps a poll with which Southern Talent makes you Most Southern and Qualified to Coach at UT - Winning is a given.

CJP talks about growing up in the south with Rick Russo.

I love it that Jeremy has small town values. He's big on family and loyalty. He strives to instill the best in the young men he coaches.

He's a man of faith and I'm proud of anyone who loves the Lord, especially if he is coaching my Vols. I really feel like we got a good one, folks.

I cannot wait to him on the sidelines with the 2018 team.

OK, he is small town values, loves his Grandma, greets everyone at the front door at the church with a big smile, and he preaches a great sermon on special occasions. And if he is doing it for substance and not for show, more power to him.

But I gotta ask, isn't this pretty much the same kinda things Ole Miss fans were saying about Hugh Freeze?

Give Hugh a break. So he likes a trashy woman every now and again. I used to like them myself but I couldn't beat bamma twice. LOL

Pruitt needs to keep up the Value & Academic talk as his Public Persona. Then him & Fulmer need to get the Orange Pride Program back up & running Quickly for recruiting season. Get the Money on the street & the Buzz back in Knoxville with Big Time Tough Football Players... Win Games & talk Values Publicly- The Orange Pride Girls can keep the wayward young Boys Occupied & Out of the Media Spotlight. Win & All Sins are Forgiven- If they Lose another Firing Squad in 3 Years.

So someone makes a comical statement and you use it to let everyone know you're an atheist. How narcissistic can someone be? Wow.

K-Town didn’t claim to be an atheist. Wouldn’t have said “if” if he was anyway. Sounds more like an agnostic statement to me.

Don’t fret. If he starts losing we’ll turn on him and bring out the pitchforks.

I’m cautiously optimistic this is a homerun though.

I agree with that. Best not to get attached to the coaches for certainly they will be fired at some point. Just stay attached to the program. Pruitt is the next UT coach to be fired, hopefully after a performance like Phil Fulmer.

Ok, maybe he’s agnostic. What was the point of his post? The guy was joking but he had to correct him so we knew where he stood.

God loves UT Football. The past 10 years have been a test of our faith.

Exactly, like UT many of the great programs go through rough cycles. Just like the markets, just like in life. I remain optimistic and have the perception that the cycle is turning for the better over the coming years for UT football and the entire acedimic/athletics program in general.

I like CJP a lot so far

Ditto. If you do your homework, his resume, background, credentials and testimonials are top-shelf. He’s just never been an head coach before, but I believe he’s learned allot from some great ones, and has a decent one down the hall to lean on if need be.

Only in the south do fans care if their coach is religious. If there is a God, I can't imagine that he gives two sh!ts about Tennessee football.
