"Whistle to next snap"

Don't know of another team in the country that emphasizes those bits of time as much as this coach and his staff are inculcating into our team.

I mean, we tend to think of whistle-to-snap as a bit of a break from the game. Chance for the players to breathe a bit, get the next play called, maybe substitute out a lad or three. Relative down time.

But in this offense, it is a key part of the competition, and maybe feels just as hectic and demanding to the lads as snap-to-whistle.

This is gonna be really fun, and hugely interesting, to watch.

I honestly don't think the media knows. I think they toy with them. Remember the comment Golesh made. He wouldn't name the qb until game day if that were up to him ? Then something along the lines of being able to keep it a secret around here.... yeah I think that was a shot at the snooping media. But who knows really

* I think TE is a home for Julian Nixon. He’s a smart kid that cares, and he’s learning how to compete on a consistent basis. He’s natural as a pass-catcher. He’s got a bright future.
* The tight-end position is one we’re going to have to continue to cultivate and grow throughout the season.
* I think we have the ability to play five or six guys at WR and all of them compete.
* I think our football team has great trust in all three of the QBs. When we’re ready to name a starter, we will.
* I think good teams continue to get better throughout the season, and part of that comes from working on fundamentals. But you also have to get some good-on-good work.
* We still have a competition at RB this week before we get into game prep. Even if you’re not the No. 1 or 2 to start the season, you have to continue to develop and mature.
* The long snappers have been competitive and will continue to compete this week before we decide who will go out there first. I like what the kickers have done. Some experience with the returners, but we’re still having competition on punt returns.
* The defensive backfield, there’s flexibility there. We have guys who can play multiple positions. I like that group. I think they have a clear understanding of what we’re doing.
* At the end of the day, I think competitive spirit is what the QB has to have. I think that leads to a leadership trait, too, getting other guys on the team to buy into you. There are some similar traits between all three, but there are some differences, too.
*Joe Milton spent a ton of time in May learning what we were doing before everybody was back in June. Joe has really progressed in camp and is much more comfortable with what we’re doing.

I've never felt this pessimistic about an upcoming season. I should probably just stay off the board so I don't kill everyone's vibes lol
