Coach Heupel on Pat McAfee show.

No reason for him to be uptight really. As others have said on here all of the pressure is on Georgia, we’re playing with house money.

Georgia is expected to win, they also haven’t proven much this season. They are a preseason natty contender with an unproven qb making his first start in a vipers nest. If they win then they should’ve won. If we win then the pundits will say “they could be slipping”.

Also, this game is early enough in the season that if we were to lose we can rebound and still make the playoff at 11-1 or 10-2. If we lose tomorrow and split Oklahoma/Bama—take care of business the rest of the way we are in the playoff. I truly think by time we play Florida they will be in shambles with an interim coach, a losing record, a stadium that’s half filled and a bunch of disinterested players looking to get out. So my opinion on that game has changed drastically for the time being.

All of the pressure is on Georgia. We just get to play hard and watch the game. GBO.

The VQ guys regularly talk about how much Coach loves the big games vs UGA, Bama and Flarda. He gets excited about them rather than stressed. I guess its like when youve been working on your car all summer, racing your buddies etc and you finally get a chance to take what you've built down to the race track and find out what your build can do against the fastest cars in town. Its Friday Night at the 1/4 mile strip for Coach.

We havent had a single coach since Fulmer that was this way IMO. Maybe Kiffin for 1 year? You could see the stress and worry written all over the clowns since him. As if they knew we were gonna lose most of the time. Its great to see Coach loose and excited for the game tomorrow regardless of the result IMO. Really wish we werent missing 2 starting Corners and 2 DTackles. Hope we still punch them in the mouth. GO VOLS

Fulmer wasn't that way either. He was tight as a tick during Florida week. And everyone knew it. Majors had it against Alabama. Heupel is the first coach, probably since Dickey, who has a big game, play loose mentality.

Cause he was a high level athlete. The other coaches we had were bums as players if they ever played. Great players get excited by competition. Losers get scared of competition.

It's been known for quite some time now that Coach Heupel takes Rohypnol aka roofies to calm his nerves......🫣😴

I was talking mostly about the Dooley, Butch, Pruitt era coaches.
Not on the same level as Heupel (Heisman runner-up, National Title QB), but Fulmer was an All-American OL, Majors was a crazy good Fullback.
Also, Pruitt was opposite side of the field of 2 All-Americans at Bama and Dooley started at WR on a team that won 3 straight bowls and an ACC title.

I'll give you Jones though...he played Rb at Ferris State, which I didn't even know had a football team until I looked it up...LOL

The crowd is probably worth 10 points when they're going crazy and it's going to be crazy. This Georgia team looks like they have some at least minor problems. Those even become a problem in a place like Neyland. That crowd will screw up communication at the line.

He just looked to be having fun. It’s never a bad thing. You can be all about business and not be uptight. Has nothing to do with what he is getting paid. He is a competitor and doesn’t like to lose. Maybe he feels good about his team or maybe they had a good practice and game week practice. Who knows? But it’s hard to not love the guy

Fulmer was not an All American.
Majors was not a Fullback. He was a Halfback.
Pruitt was a backup at Alabama.
Dooley was a backup at UVA, although he caught 27 balls as a senior.

I believe Majors was a Heisman runner up and many feel he got robbed considering the Winner (Hornung from ND) was the QB of a team that won 2 games and he threw 3 TD and 13 interceptions.
