Coach Heupel is good HERE

If you don’t think it’s a possibility, you are very naive.

I just gave you the reasons. Sure anything is possible I guess. Hell they could go hire Jason White, right? He's not even coaching lol.

You all don't understand (trapped in your UT football bubble) the bad blood between Heupel and Oklahoma. Not to mention OU is about to become a part of the most difficult division in College football lol. Why do you think RIley left????

You think OU is about to hire a 7-5 coach that *they (* Stoops- who is still there) FIRED??

There is probably 15 other coaches before Heupel gets a look.

And Heupel is a good coach. Glad we have him, but he is absolutely not a candidate for OU. Stop giving in to battered vol fandom.

I would say the odds of him leaving are small but to say he isn’t on Oklahoma’s radar is a bit overconfident. People who know football know that there was no way in heck UT should have won seven games in the SEC with a sub 70 scholarship roster
No...
As I pointed out before the season. We were much more talented than people realized. In 2020 I mean. No way we should have went 3-7.
And we ADDED some talent (Hooker, Payton, Wright, McGrath, Terry, etc) . It wasn't just a total loss. And we were at 77 for the year. Not sure where you got sub-70..

Heupel did a good job. But he had probably a few NFL OL. Two NFL WRs, and decent RBs'; also
a damn underrated DC in Tim Banks!! He wasn't taking over Vandy roster, and he brought a good coaching staff.

You just described the downward trend. I also added he wasn't close to being on the hot seat either.
It's nothing foolish about what I said. AT THE TIME coming off a 6-6 season, he didn't deserve a pay raise to a power 5 job. That's just facts.
Are you talking about Heupel or someone else? If Heupel then, no, not just facts. They were 6-4 in '20 with a bowl loss to BYU. There weren't a ton of moves last year. I suspect part of that was the doubt over what anyone's 2020 performance meant.

No. Two data points do NOT indicate a "trend". And no, "noise" in any data plot does not show a trend either. That's why it is necessary to look at other numbers. UCF's numbers did not fall off in any significant way in 2019. They lost some close games. Competition changes. The "breaks" go the other way.

We produce a liquid product at work. Net product gallons/minute varies +/- 5% all day long. We don't react to a "trend" that takes us from 105 to 95 or vice versa. We watch motor amps, pump pressures, feed rates, temperatures, pH, etc. If those are pretty steady then we don't deem it a "trend" that we should react to. We definitely wouldn't panic over 2 data points or even a set of 13 compared to another set of 13.

Everything you just listed is pure assumption on your part. Meaningless.

I chuckle at these threads cause this board (like every other board) is batting like 0 for 150 in coaching searches. Always have a few posters you'd think sit down and have a cup of coffee with the coaches and got their views.

It's highly unlikely OK looks at CJH. He does not have the body of work to warrant it. We like CJH cause he's made our football team better but outside of here nobody really cares. He's 4-4 in a very down SEC and still blown out by the big 3. He's safe for now

It's not an assumption to say he was fired by OU! HE WAS....
