Not much talk about Tim Jordan but his film looks good. Great first cut. Watch his hudl senior highlights around 1.30m to 1.50m tough runner. Why was this kid only a 2* played in florida 7a?

I honestly believe that some posters here (such as the one you quoted) really would be happier if our staff was running down our signees with negativity. It's ridiculous.

...and fwiw, even if it's just Chandler who pans out and has a great career, that's a homerun.

How many were saying whoopty doo over John Kelly? Plenty. And though I might have been one of the biggest Cam Akers fans on here, Coleman and Jordan want to be here. That should be respected, though I know that will fall on the deaf ears of worthless fans who won't amount to anything..

I get caught up in the 4 star and 5 star thing myself. But it is hard to argue with the results that Bama and Ohio State have every yr. But I give the guys a chance before I come to any conclusions. Look at John Kelly. A lot of 3 stars end up having big time careers in college and beyond.

For our system we need backs that can do it all, run, block, pass, catch and throw. They need to be quick, fast and powerful.

These guy fit the mold they may not be rated the best at any one skill but their skill set covers all the bases. They are the total package.

Release the Beast!

Travis Stephens 3 star stud. Chris Daniels 5 star #1 LB played maybe 5 minutes in 4 years.

Football has become a big tough business. If you start over every 4 years you'll never compete with an established program like AL. Saben has shown us the way.

You must think like corp America. Each year you cut the staff that is not getting it done. Replacements position coaches mostly come from quality control unless you need a D.C. or OC. So hire QCs that are qualified. The D.C. OC should come from the position coaches if they have been developed. Otherwise go get the best that fit your system. This provides continuity in recruiting and coaching. Just as you develop players you should develop staff that is worth keeping.
The AD must help the HC to develop. Butch could use some help in public speaking. That's no shame, most coaches could. How about bring in a team of great coaches to audit your program. Many teams do.
Changing the HC will require cleaning house. Avoid at all costs.
The object is to get better each year and avoid starting over.

Or just hire Nick Saben, John's not coming.
I think it is interesting LSU couldn't buy a coach.

PS- I'm excited about Kelly and think he's gonna be very, very good this year. But statistically he's the exception and not the rule, he needs help and we're just not gonna have enough top players around him for us to win championships.
