Doug is all-in on Pruitt. I doubt he will take any calls today, hasn't really taken many lately anyhow. Last night, Troy Flemming and the other people on Vol Network spent a lot of time harping on players not stepping up to assume leadership and hold each other accountable. I figure Doug will lead with that because it removes blame from the staff without throwing any specific players under the bus.

Any former player or coach on the radio is going to say whatever Fulmer or the HC tells them to say. Don't believe me? Go look at the text messages that exposed EA during the Butch Jones debacle

I doubt that happens, however, I do think offensively Chaney, Weinke and Friend all need to go. We have the imagination offensively of a Pop Warner team. QB’s aren’t being developed...line play is not good and TE’s are invisible. Yes, ultimately it all falls on Pruitt.

Changing position coaches and coordinators won't change ****. The problem starts with the HC.

and the S&C coaches as well, I keep seeing our team pushed around

I agree with the player development. The Maurer we saw on the field last night is no where near the Maurer we saw last year. I am not sure if he is playing scared or just hasn’t been developed.

Maurer last year sucked too dude. Fans got caught up in their hatred of JG and the fact Maurer made one deep pass to Callaway. Other than that he did absolutely nothing. But the point of not being developed remains the same. He sucked last year. He sucks this year.

He’ll say we should “stay the course.” This team “is young” and he’ll go thru the entire roster naming players. He’ll praise the coaches as “knowing how to win in this league”.

You're right. Just wish people in a position. of power or people that have a major voice would speak out. It needs to be done.

You mean THE Troy Flemming who was caught on camera using his cell phone on the sideline at the Ga Dome? Yeah that's Leadership 101.

The QB development is a glaring problem.

Two schools of thought here.

1. Give Pruitt more time. It’s only been 3 years and one is a COVID year. We still have JG and Butch mindset on the roster. Plus, it isn’t a good look to other coaches that we are cutting bait what is really less than one 4 year cycle. Maybe there is an outside shot Pruitt turns this around.

2. It’s pretty clear Pruitt isn’t it. The game management, coach speak, platitudes, and record are pretty clear. GSU was a warning sign. Stop the bleeding, name an interim, and go get your guy with whatever it takes. We will be roasted in the media for firing someone during COVID and him taking over a program in the dump without adequate time to turn it around.

Both options are not fun and will result in extending, again, any kind of rebuild.

I mean seriously when you have a team that legitimately **** their pants because they gave up one TD, that's a HC issue there. The team has no faith or confidence. Period

Matthews said last week that the second of half season would define this coaching staff. Well it was defined last night. Pruitt is not guy and everyone knows it. We can cut lose at seasons end or hold on to him for another year just like we did with Dooley and Jones. And the program will slide back that much further just like with those 2 other mistakes
