Coach threw out the first pitch tonight, and he was interviewed by John & Vince at the start of the game.

John Wilkerson asked CDT if he was a baseball fan. CDT said, "No, I'm not. I always have to be moving. Baseball is too slow for me." I'm impressed that he didn't just blow smoke and act like a huge baseball fan. Looks like we might have a genuine coach who speaks his mind. (Do those really exist?)

He also made mention that we need to add size. He thinks we are right there in recruiting on a couple of big guys to split time next year. He admitted these guys will probably not be draft picks, but will be serviceable.

He says the fans at Big Orange Caravan probably weren't very excited to see him yet, but he made mention of the passion of the fan base.

He referred to all of the recruits he's brought in as Tough. He said he must have tough guys because we are going to wear opponents down.

He said the base of his program is being involved in the community and holding everyone accountable no matter what our record may be. He hopes to be 31-0, but he is realistic.

He said our returners will be "leaned on" to show new comers "the ropes" at the D1 level. He said the returners are excited, and they do not seem to be complacent. They want to improve on the Sweet 16 appearance.

He also referred to Coach Warlick in the interview, but it sounded like he pronounced her name, "Warrick". As long as we Win, He could call her Margaret, but I thought it was interesting.

Go Vols!!

mentioned also at first 4 base players and then stated or 5 kind of left the impression that there may still be another player to depart.

Talked about recruiting in roads to every region and it seems he and staff are well connected. Also talked about international recruiting.

It appears even with the addition of Owens if he signs that there are still more recruits for the 14-15 year.

A lot of in depth thoughts that of his approach and comments about current team and recruits.

Talk about the "toughness" of the type players he and staff recruits

There is no link except the live feed of the baseball game. I hope there was a tape of it but I doubt it or at least a script of it....

CDT sat with the announcers the first inning of the baseball game and they talked basketball in between action. It was a great impromptu interview.

I don't trust anyone who doesn't like baseball. And he doesn't look like he ever played basketball.

Baseball is the greatest game ever created. Anyone that doesn't like baseball is a dirty communist. You know who else hated baseball? Adolf Hitler!

I'm going to have to agree with the anti-baseball sentiment. I've tried to make myself like it in the past, but it's just so dull to me. It would be great to have a sport that held my attention during the summer, but baseball isn't it.

But Fidel Castro loves baseball...

It's those damn nazis that hate baseball!

Or Fidel was faking it.

People that like baseball also like to scratch themselves. I get it. Baseball and scratching go hand in hand!
