I agree with OP. When Dooley was hired I was very worried. I packaged up all my Orange gear and gave back my season tickets expecting a big slide. Skeptical, i went to only 2 games last year, Martin and Kentucky. BOTH were awesome. Dooley has conducted himself as I would expect. he's a Gentleman, a Scholar, respects tradition but is not imprisoned by it, he gets good players who are excellent students and characters.
I am officially ON the Dooley Train. I have opened up my box of Orange gear (yesterday) and I will be wearing 30 days of orange for my volunteers.
We won't be the best team in the country, but I am DAMN proud of where we've come from and who is leading us. The journey will make the victory even sweeter. I expect us to go 7-5 or 8-4 this year as we build and build and build, but it will be done the right way, not like Kiffin-crew, and it will be something we can all be proud of.

It is easy to be a fan when your team is winning every game. I remember the Vandy 2005 game and at least 50 percent of crowd left a game we still could gave won. I don't get that yea it was the first losing season since 88 so what! The message was if we can't even beat Vandy at home then I don't want anything to do with the VOLS. That is the definition of fair weather fans. If you were won of the thousands of fans who left early than shame on you.
