I'm and honestly starting to think that he was responsible for our success. I think phil may have been the ace recruiter, but that once the talent made it to campus Cut took over. Without cut, phil is lost.

they were a great team in that Fulmer could recruit and Cut could coach. Apart not so much.

We are so horrible on offense that it is just almost funny. I never thought I would see a tennessee offense so inept. I see duke playing above their ability, when is the last time a tennessee team did that?

they are both responsible for each other's success. Cut may not be coaching if CPF didn't bring in the talent for him

True, but I think cut can do more with less talent than phil does with a roster of four and five star players.

Ole Miss fans might disagree with you

I disagree. I think that he did an admirable job there. I think they realized that during coach o's reign of terror. Do you think crompton is in this game if cut is still around?

Coleman is a starter if Cut is our Coordinator....and Fulmer would be fired, this week with Cut taking over as interim.....Promise you that.

Well... Coach O is a complete buffoon. Hiring him was an epic mistake. I don't think doing better than him really means a whole lot. Ed's idea of coaching was taking his shirt off, flexing, and calling his players pathetic.

At least phil keeps his shirt on.

Coach O was a mistake but he took over a team that lost to Memphis and Wyoming. Cut didn't leave him anything after selling out to get another Manning on his resume. He's a good QB coach but nothing more IMO

Every time cut left the hill we imploded. That has to mean something.

Hindsight 20/20, Fulmer should have taken a page out of Mack Brown' book. Brown's an average coach, but a great recruiter who surrounds himself with a good staff. A good coaching staff makes an average coach look like a genius. Although it leads to losing your staff to other head coaching positions, but you've got the program built up at that point to lure ANYONE to fill those voids, something Fulmer doesn't seem to do.

After what he did to majors, phil is scared to death to hire a asst coach that could replace him. That's we are saddled with an oc who is in waaaaay over his head.

Bash him for the results on the field. He only did his job when Majors was out.

I was convinced of this when the team took an almost instant turnaround when Cut came back after the 2005 fiasco. Cut is giving teams a run for their money with subpar athletes at Duke. I like Cut alot and would not be upset as most would if Cut came back.
