Btw Rob Lewis also said today that from what he's gathered he thinks there 0 pressure (hot seat) for Martin next year.

I agree it should be, just telling you what a guy who has spoken with Hart is saying. Like toolegit is saying, AD isn't in a position to be juggling coaches, it's not a cheap thing to do. In order for Hart to can him I'd say CCM would have to have a horrible year, as in .500 or worse.

No that doesn't mean I agree, just the way I see it...with that said I think they make the dance next year pretty easily.

On principle, I'm in the crowd that thinks Martin must make the NCAAT next year to keep his job (barring too many injuries).

On the other hand, the thought of Dave Hart trying to hire a basketball coach scares me...especially after the farce that was our football search that left us hiring Plan G.

With all the talent coming back, you don't expect at least 1 tournament win after missing it the first 2 years by this coaching staff ?

I don't agree with you much SGM, but you are dead-on with this one. Even though I'm happy with CBJ's recruiting right now, he hasn't proven anything on the field yet. I do think he's a huge upgrade from Dooley, but there's no disputing that the coaching search was a damn nightmare.

Let's make it first.

I've addressed this before...if we have a hell of a year get a 3 seed but get a bad draw and lose, well it'll suck but great season. On the flips side if we are struggling and limp in with a 12 seed id be very dissapointed.

I think if we're even on the bubble next year then we should pretty much know what kind of coach Martin is going to be. That alone is going to make the decision for me. Any coach worth his salt should kick people's asses with that roster. Fla and Ky will be strong, but we should be in the running for a league title next year.

I think there will be too much apathy in year 4 not to make the change. However, I don't see that happening.

Next year come March, UT better be improving its seeding. If you're still hoping for other teams to lose then he and the team haven't done their job.

Other than what we have scheduled already, you can see what is going to happen with the remaining games. We will be welcoming ETSU, Chattanooga, Tennessee Tech, and Carson Newman to TBA. You can see it coming.

The team greatly improved throughout the entire year, a sign of good coaching.

Honestly, if you think Cuonzo deserves to be fired then you're an idiot.

Coaching changes come down to money. If season ticket sales tank they'll look at a change. We could could miss the NIT and as long as the balance sheet looks reasonable the AD wouldn't bother giving it a look.

Edit: And think about 2015, how are we gonna fair when Golden, Maymon, McRea, and most likely Stokes are gone. I realize Hubbs is coming but I've seen little on the current roster to get me excited save Richardson and maybe Moore.

Ha, ha, ha, what?

They didn't greatly improve. For goodness sakes, they are in the NIT again. At one point in the season I was afraid they wouldn't even pull that out. In fact, they finished one game ahead of what they did last year. How is that a "great" improvement?

Some of you guys need to quit kissing Martin's butt cheeks.

Missing out on Austin Nichols hurt badly. CCM obviously needs to score big with this next class. After next year we've only got Yemi in the post. ::shudders::

This team had a good 10 game run then finished horribly. The buck stops with Cunozo. If he can't do the job, he needs to go.

I could see Martin being here for the length of his contract.
Might not be the worst scenario.
If Butch comes through there could be enough money in the system to replace Martin with a big hire if he doesn't pan out.
