Good grief. Writers will find anything and everything to complain about.

They were prevented from writing about a loss due to the excellent defense on the 2 point conversion play so they had to take a swipe at the team.

In other words the writer is mad because they don't understand UT. They called UT wrong last year, and more then likely were calling us wrong all off season and before the game. Now they need to sell a story to put food on the table and save their rep. Got it.

I wonder how gimmicky it is for Saban to let his guys pass around a WWE belt on the sidelines?

Just dumb.

Some people have a wrestling belt and I've seen Miami's gold chain but of course we get blasted for a trash can. Maybe not enough flash.

Haha..but he isnt wrong about the trash can. If it were a 5 gallon bucket, it wouldn't invite so many jokes.. I made a few myself regarding it and our offense the first half.

Still the trash can is the stupidest idea of them all, and a perfect metaphor for how Tennessee played most of the game (and most of last year). I wish some other team came up with the trash can idea so we can make fun of them, but no it has to be my team.

Its nothing more than a prep article and they just change it a little because we won, do I go there (FAKE NEWS) trying to stir the pot for news and nothing more.

Man doesn't like something, calls it FAKE NEWS (which means good chance it is real news after hearing it misused so many times).

Honestly this is going to wind up a positive for Jones and the team, since the can is more important then the game or the players, every one will be talking and writing about that and leaving our players alone. Keep your eyes on the trash can writers.

Multiple teams did the trash can thing last year, including a NFL team I think. It's not a new thing at all.

We've got some serious self esteem issues if we are letting this bother us. A lot of teams have sideline "gimmicks".

Let's consider the source. Wolken is a former Memphis Tiger beat writer who utilizes a great deal of his national platform to tear down Memphis's perceived rivals (Ole Miss, UT, and Louisville). Anyone who has heard him talk knows his disdain for those 3 programs.

With all that being said, the trash can is beyond stupid.

The writer, Dan Wolken, is formerly a Memphis Commercial Appeal writer who graduated from Vanderbilt who still holds hostility for anything UT or it's fans. He holds that same ill feeling for Calipari because of his perceived slight to Tiger High by leaving them. However, I agree with him on the trash can. It's gotta go.
