Only in modern America is a grown man this sensitive about others' opinions of his favorite college football coach.

And I told you....it was to list the things I appreciate about Butch Jones. I'm sorry my list wasn't management approved.

I figured listing his ability to beat up on lower tier Big10 teams in a bowl game would have been to contentious....so I went with his $100,000 Mercedes recruitmobile.

I appreciate his willingness to tell the fans they don't understand football enough to question the offense

I am glad coach Jones came to Tennessee when no one else would and I think over all, he has done a good job. GBO!

When he was hired years ago, I had to Google him. Was concerned that we may have 4 more years of Dooleyism. Instead, he has built a true SEC caliber program through recruiting and tireless work ethic.
He seems to be a guy I like young Vols to look up to. No throwing players under the bus, no having so little respect that the players turn their backs on the sidelines.
Just the opposite I would say, the overall team seems to buy in and have his back. What they think of him goes a long way in my opinion of him. Much more than any message board posters still struggling with puberty.

Gotcha!

Glad you understood my point.

Can the UGA game, sideline rant in Neyland be used? That was both epic and awesome.

Yes. His distain for authority figures is a plus in my book.

That's personal.

The reason for being sorry? I've never asked anyone what they pray for, but you already knew that about me didn't you?

On the surface, It's not real easy to find a lot of good things going on with Butch or the program, but they're there, and they always will be.

I looked at this thread and the one I started as a way everyone, including the posters that consider themselves better fans than others because they have a diploma from The University of Tennessee and they know how to be critical, to share thoughts about Tennessee, that some haven't experienced. A chance to comment about something good instead of the everyday garbage.

I asked a question and got what I expected from the asshats. They usually seem uncomfortable with honesty.

Anyway, although you don't need permission from me, do your thang.

Berh, thanks for your effort, but it's a lost cause trying to get some of our "Loyal Vol Fans" to take a break from trashing our coach. They don't think it does any harm.

The real question.. How would you feel if you thought NOTHING you did mattered? my money is on, you'd be in the dumps as well.

I like to think there may be 1 player or 1 family member of a player that's on this site and relays some of the good that is said about our players, coaches, and program. I don't want to be the guy that runs off or even spoils a "Loyal Vol Fan's" experience on Volnation.

Vol fandom is a source of fun and excitement for me. Don't let the turkeys get you down. It's a choice. It appears they like being "That guy.", the one with with the clever little slam of anything good about Vol football. The only problem is so many of the slams a clever once and get over done, while others are not clever at all in the 1st place.

So many want to be special by being the "negavol", but there's nothing special about them at all.

Go Vols!

Or go jump in a lake!

I've been critical of Butch from time to time, just like most of us. From my perspective which is from afar, Butch seems to be a tireless coach that has the work ethic and determination to bring the Vols back. I believe Butch is giving his all for Tennessee.

I appreciate Coach Jones for being willing to take a job no other coach wanted. He has worked tirelessly since he arrived on campus to reestablish the integrity, not only on the field, but off the field as well, that is and should be Tennessee football.

Wasn't trying to get anyone to stop. I accomplished what I was trying to. Lol, just not the way I was trying to.

I would say I appreciate Butch not beating Oklahoma, Florida and Arkansas two years ago because if he had, my expectations for last year would have been even higher. That means the let down from last year would have been even more.

But, I'm not going to say that.

Now, now, now...don't crash the party.
