CNNSI's NFL Draft Risers

David Amerson*/CB/North Carolina State: Amerson was rated by many as the number one cornerback prospect in college football and a potential first-round pick, an opinion we never bought into. His play was more reminiscent of a late-round selection in the loss to Tennessee. During the first quarter Amerson was smoked for two long touchdown receptions (41 and 72 yards respectively) then looked pedestrian trying to run down ball carriers in pursuit.

Mike Glennon/QB/North Carolina State: The strong-armed Glennon was graded as a mid-round pick by NFL scouts entering the season yet looked like a free agent against Tennessee. He tossed four interceptions and failed to convert on several opportunities created by the Wolfpack defense throughout the game. Glennon offers next level physical skills yet he consistently locks onto one receiver and incorrectly reads the defense which has several wondering if he possesses the mental make-up to start in the NFL.

I love seeing where we made some NCST guys drop! Gonna be doing that all year!

I think Patterson stays next year, scouts probably need more than one year to really judge his skills.

If CP can get drafted after this year, he needs to go get his money. Sucks for us, but after seeing what happened to Hunter last year, he needs to get his money.

CP is gone if he has a whole year like last nite. Nfl will love his measurables then go ape **** over his 40. heck all he has to do is run a 4.3 and my raiders will draft up the other two spots and take him first overall.

His play was more reminiscent of a late-round selection in the loss to Tennessee. During the first quarter Amerson was smoked for two long touchdown receptions, including one by some white guy with a mullet, (41 and 72 yards respectively) then looked pedestrian trying to run down ball carriers in pursuit.

Unprofessional IMO.

Maybe if "Wrigley's Gum" would supply him for his senior year he would stay. Judging by the way he was wearing it out in his interview last night, that may make him happy. :birgits_giggle: Hope he stays...he's a beast.

I hope CP stays but if he doesn't he doesn't. We have some very talented freshmen WR's that we might get to see in live action this week against GSU. He's first round talent if he stays for one more year. Game Announcers were already comparing him to a faster Julio Jones.

I love Tennessee finally getting some love. However, they're wrong about Glennon. He was working with primarily unproven receivers and still made big time throws. He was harassed by a defense clearly out to get him and still put in a gutsy never say die effort. That includes his being a pocket passer who performed when needed as a mobile QB. His stats in almost any other night would be good enough to help win a game. His performance is no less praise worthy than Bray's freshman work against South Carolina 2 years which we lost. Amerson is overrated but Glennon is for real, those sports writers don't know what they're talking about.

I don't care who we keep making lose NFL money.

I just want to keep adding up the Tennessee Wins.

I want Bray, Hunter, CP and everyone else to stay for their Senior season but if they leave we'll just deal with it.

So far I think CDD has done a good job recruiting but with alot more Wins and this much better coaching staff our recruiting should get much better and we'll have a much better chance at a Win in the SEC Championship game soon.

We ARE Tennessee and we all expect certain steps to be taken...

Step 1...Win the SEC East.

Step 2...Win the SEC Championship.

Step 3...Win the National Championship.

We're finally back on the right road but it's a long and tough road back up the mountain to the Elite but we're starting the climb and it will just take us a little longer to get back up there and stay up there consistently.

VFL...GBO!!!
