CMR replies to CLK

I am weary of these stories. This story should have ended with MH's comments yesterday. To say anymore does no one any good.

It was a regrettable mistake. Move along... move along.

I saw it on the ESPN ticker. I find it humorous that Richt even responded.

BTW....feel free to use the ignore thread feature if you don't like the topic. I'd hate to be the cause of consternation.

I think Saint Mark the Pious has been looking for a chance to take a shot at Kiffin ever since we went after Rodney.

He's in danger of becoming irrelevant if he doesn't win something important.

Not exactly sure why UGA would feel dissed because of what CLK said about Brown's grandma... They didn't make her do that.

UGA media's typical spin on things. It's why all of their fans are illogical.

Seriously! Does Richt not have anything else to do than to try to stretch Kiffin's comments into being a slam against him or UGA? He must be jealous of the attention UT and Kiffin have been getting.

Because college football journalists are grasping at straws when it comes to stories these days. It's becoming ridiculous how many "journalists" have appeared since Kiffin's comments a week ago, each falsely thinking their opinion matters.

Don't be so sensitive... My comments were directed at person who authored the article (not your thread).

Come here, I'll give you a hug.

Uh . . . Did you actually read the article?

When asked by the AJC if he had a “direct” response to Kiffin’s comments on Wednesday, Richt paused for a moment, smiled and said “No thank you.”
However, Richt did, an indirect way, defend his recruiting efforts in the state. “We do our homework. We target the kids we want. We offer them and go after them. That’s all I can tell you.”
Not sure it's possible to answer the question and be less controversial than that. It's the polar opposite of the response Jeremy Foley had.

Agreed.

I'm glad Richt didn't say much. UGA is irrelevant to what this staff is trying to do. There's no debate that Florida, as the obvious standard bearer, is the target. You don't start shooting at rabbits when you're hunting grizzlies.

I have no problem with Richt's response... or lack thereof. Urbie and Foley could learn something from his poise and tact. I'm not a Georgia fan, but Richt is a class act.

wow I knew georgia fans werent the brightest in the bunch. I do feel like I have lost some IQ points just from reading their comments.

Picking on uga is not as much fun as it used to be. They are heading down the same path as utk did 7 years ago. Lots of talent, but under preformed, imo.

It's yet to be seen whether this coaching staff can turn the tables on Florida and Alabama, but there's no doubt in my mind that we're going to leapfrog right back up over UGA. The only thing that staff has going for them is Rodney Garner, and we've got four recruiters on staff as good as him. And once we get the horses, our staff vs. Mike Bobo and Willie Martinez and Mark Richt is going to be like Black Sabbath stomping up and down on the corpses of New Kids on the Block.
