CLow has us in the Cotton bowl

Any Bowl would prefer TN over OL MISS. TN is one of the most, if not the most, desirable Bowl draw in the nation. Always has been. Always will be. Just another reason why it is great to be a TN VOL:pepper::pepper:

No way that Outback would just give UT to the Cotton Bowl.
Even if the Cotton Bowl ask...their reasons would be obvious (ticket sales)...the Outback would be dumb to make that trade off

They pick at the same time. Cotton gets first pick of the west, Outback first pick of the east. For us to go to the Cotton bowl, the Cotton Bowl will have to let the Outback bowl comittee know they are interested and then negotiations are in order. I believe this is right, not 100% sure though.

This is all assuming the Outback wants us.

Per SECsports.com:

The Outback, Chick-fil-A and AT&T Cotton Bowls will work with the conference office to determine picks 3-5. The Cotton Bowl has the first preference of teams from the Western Division and the Outback Bowl has first preference of teams from the Eastern Division. The Cotton or Outback Bowl can select teams outside of its divisional preference, but must not select them before the opposite bowl selects from its divisional preference. The Chick-fil-A Bowl has the selection of preference following the Cotton and Outback Bowls.

Actually, no, it's not at the same time. If you've ever watched, the selection commitee announces one at a time. TN has been to the Cotton Bowl before (I was there when we lost to KSU), so it's possible.
