That one at Michigan State last year was great. We should do that every year with some big time programs. Pretty awesome having announcers who got to hang out with the coaches in the middle of the game, with Barnes and Izzo bantering back and forth. That was fun.

I’m struggling to understand why this was reported as a closed scrimmage. Grateful this thread was bumped.

I never saw that it was going to be a closed scrimmage. I did see early reporting that it was going to be at Bridgestone in Nashville. But it was going to be when the Preds were getting going so maybe scheduling difficulties brought it to the TBA.

This was what was reported in last week’s Volquest War Room. Was also reported that the scrimmage would be held in Knoxville.

That definitely helps. But, I don't consider it too much of a win when Mashak had 7 fouls. . Treat entertainment tho, especially when players can let loose a little

Not so sure that wasn’t instigated by Izzo. Kinda like, “Hell no! Leave him in there!”
