Not to throw a wrench in the post, as it seems to be able to derail itself quite easily, but...

I took Geology over the summer, and was lab partners with a player. I heard the same thing from him. Take it for what it's worth.

What's your "in", if you do interviews for a living? You obviously missed my post where I stated I had heard the same from a player. Got a better source than me?

If I had to bet $100 RIGHT NOW, I would bet that Stephens will be our starter in the swamp.

We all saw them play last season and I personally believe that the team gave up when Stephens was yanked after throwing the pick6 early on vs. South Carolina.

I am obviously not a Crompton fan, and I hope he proves me wrong. But i've seen him throw an INT on his first pass vs. Vandy, fumble at OUR 1 yard line, fumble at THEIR 1 yard line, skip passes 5 yards in front of people -- you name it, he's goofed it up.

I agree with the original poster that Kiffin is pumping Crompton up because he's a "senior" QB, and we're trying to lure recruits to play next season. I agree with that 100%

I don't know who will start, but I have noticed that both Crompton and Stephens seem to have bulked up nicely since last year. Hopefully the strength and conditioning will pay dividends this year. Unfortunately QB is one position where brains usually wins over braun.

To be fair, Johnny would have loved any hire that ousted Phil. I believe that the bad blood between them was more than ankle deep.

When kiffin realizes that 2 out of every 3 pass attempts from crompton gets batted down at the line of scrimmage on game day (for some strange reason) stephens will replace him quicker than you can say "son of a" , but i am pulling for jon c, dont know why. im just ready for some football !
