So, "This is the first time I'm proud to be an American" = racisim and no one here thinks that's a streatch?

Also, the comment was made in refference to her husband, the love of her life, running for and actually winning a bid for President of the United States. I not only understand the comment, but I understand the context that she intended it. It had to be, and continues to be a very proud moment for her. So much so that I can understand her saying that. Rivals will ofcourse take that and try to turn it into a comment that she was never proud to be an American before, but that's foolishness and a huge streatch to try to find something wrong with someone, just for the sake of trying to find something.

Then say I've never been so proud of him in my life, not to be an American. I think she meant exactly what she said... maybe it was a Freudian slip, but I think she was ok with saying it.

That is the most ridiculous thing I've seen... I usually try to not get personal, but this is ridiculous. You're basically implying those states are racist... I don't even know where to begin with that. And of course she clarified her remarks, AFTER she was criticised so much about it.

Wow, just wow.
did you no know that voting for Hillary in the Dem primary was tantamount to racism.

You mean to try to tell me that she might have taken a few days to come up with some plausible window dressing for her ridiculous comments. Wonder how many staffers helped?

I think there ARE racist people in those states that wont EVER vote for a Black man.

Be careful BPV, suggesting that may make you a racist.

You weren't asking me, but I will bite. He, like your good buddy Rush, know that Hillary will be 10 times easier to beat, so they both have sold thier souls to try to get her nominated. Both of them used to be entertaining to me. Both of them used to make sense from time to time. However, they now have proven themselves not to be "Great Americans", but to be "Great Right Wing Loyalists". Which is all fine and good unless you are pretending to be something else, which they (Hannity more than Rush) are.

Here are just a few examples of Sean's extremism.

YouTube - KO Countdown : Worst 08-03-19 : Hannity Obama Post (Watch from 1:25 till 2:16)

YouTube - Sean Hannity DOES Know Hal Turner This from a man that spends most nights bringing up Obama's "association" with Rev. Wright.

I could spend all day, posting things from him and others that turn my stomach, but those show some of the hypocrisy that both Hannity and others in the media have, not just toward Barack Obama, but anyone that doesn't push forward their world view.

there is no possible way that any realistic conservative believes that Hillary is easier to beat. No possible way. She will be much harder to handle in a bi-prtisan fight than Obama. He drilled her in the primaries because most voting are true blue liberal types.

I firmly believe that Obama getting the nod was the only prayer the Rs had.

There's talk that if Obama gets the nomination that Hillary supporters will either vote for McCain, or just sit out. Of course, there's no way to know if that's true, but if it is then I would think the R's want Obama.

I was honestly going to give you the benefit of the doubt and watch those clips, but as soon as I saw Keith Olbermann I decided not to. You talk about my "buddies" Hannity and Rush, and say your tired of extremism, but then you post that garbage. Olbermann hates Fox News and is a huge lib, but I'm sure you think he's objective (by the way, could the hatecome from Fox is beating MSNBC?).

That leads me to another point, you claim to not be for Obama and also claim to be a moderate, yet all you do is trash the R's and namely conservatives on here... I've yet to see you say anything critical about Hillary, Obama, or anybody else from the left. Wonder why that is?

Nope. I dispise Olberman. I can't stand his idiotic blah blah days since Mission Accomplished In Iraq and I BLASTED him in ablog when he tried to compare the Virginia Tech shootings to Bush and Iraq. Olberman DOES hate Fox News but that video and Sean's hipocracy is there despite Olberman. Interestingly, you didn't mention that. How about denouncing your boy's blatent hypocracy?

I started a thread in this forum showing a slideshow I made about Hillary. It shows all kinds of photos of her looking silly. I don't agree with anything that she stands for. I haven't blasted a singel republican here for "being a republican". The only problems I have with a few of you is that you are so in the tank for your own party, you can't see REALITY.

I am a registered INDEPENDANT that HATES our two party system because of people like Olberman and Hannity.

I voted for Bush BOTH times. I even supported Dole. Bush has disapointed me and this country. He has done some good things, but he has done some awful things as well. I'm eager to see it down to two, have them pick their ticket and start getting to the issues.

Threads like this, and people like BPV calling Michelle a racist is VERY counterproductive to that goal.

You two are worthless to attempt mature debate with.

Have fun, I'm done.

BTW, If McCain doesn't start appealing to people like me (Independant Minded Moderates), Obama will win by double digits.

Hillary would be destroyed because so many people hate her personally that it would mobilize people that havent voted in over a decade. Rush and Hannity know it, that's why they are pimping her over Obama. You can't honestly believe that they want the HARDER TO BEAT person running against thier candidate.

I didn't comment on it because there's nothing to comment on, I didn't watch it because I don't accept the premise of it. Last time I checked, Hannity wasn't running for President, Obama is. No one is asking me to vote for him. As far as being in the tank, I am a conservative first and foremost, and Bush has made me mad on more than one occasion.

As far as voting for Bush, great for you... all I have to go by is what you post here, and so far I've yet to see anythign being critical towards any Dem. So I'm still waiting.

I can see reality just fine, like I know the fact that Michelle was covering her own butt (that was for you mods) is more realistic then not meaning what she said.

By the way, if you hate Olbermann as much as you do Hannity, why post anything from him? I promise you ypu can find material from hannity's show being critical of ol' Keith, why don't you post that? I'm with you though, I can't stand hypocricy.

If you want to attempt mature debate, then don't lump everybody in a state into a single category. That reflects on your maturity more than it does mine.

And you're going to vote for Obama anyway, just go ahead and admit it... you'll feel better.

even if the racism isn't a tremendous issue, which it is to me (I wouldn't accept it from another candidate), his blatant socialist agenda should appal you to no end. You know where he stands there and it is very near where Hillary stands, yet somehow you just can't take her positions. That makes a lot of sense.

Finally, how does me believing that Obama has a race driven agenda hurt in your effort to root "into the real issues?" You don't have to let my opinion carry that much sway over your thinking.

I never said the entire states were racist. I said that there are racists in those states that will never vote for Obama, if you think that's incorrect you are very very naive.

Not that it's any of your buisness, but who I will vote for depends a lot on which running mates are selected and what we see moving forward. SOME people are smart enough to make the BEST choice, not the choice that thier party selects for them.

When you are creating threads that spread lies and call people racist, you deserve to be called out.

Your opinions don't sway me one bit.

Hillary and Obama are a lot more different than people that won't give either of them a minute of research understand.

Nope. Why do you think the OLDER generation supports Hillary over Obama and say they will vote McCain if Obama wins?

Older generation people are a product of their upbringing, which a large portion of, have racist thoughts. My great-grandmother still refers to most blacks as the n-word, she was born in KY. My grandfather probably IS racist, as he told me growing up, I better NEVER bring a (N-word) into his home. He is from Virginia.

Racist tones are alive and well in this country and what Michelle Obama said wasn't anywhere near a racist comment. IF anything it was her being glad that some people were finally NOT being racist.

I for one think it's about time. I wish some others would try it.

thank goodness you called me out on my opinion. congrats. you've clearly swayed me and many others here with your strong proof of my pile of lies. I'd say that if Mrs. Obama doesn't have a racist agenda, she should avoid such comments and avoid a purely racist pastor.

my opinion apprently carries more weight with you than vice versa, since I'm preventing you from delving into the issues.

If you're going to do a similar job of differentiating Hillary and Obama, don't bother, it's not your strong suit.

You point was what? You claim to be independent but take up for Obama but no one else? You're quite welcome.

Wrong, AGAIN. Take a look at my comments supporting McCain against idiotic attacks in the thread about HIS pastors.

IF there were more people on this site bashing him like you two bash Obama, I would take up for him too. It's not about taking up for Obama as an individual, it's about pointing out short-sightedness and party stupidity.

Once again, that's your experience... racism is alive and well everywhere, not just those states... Virginia is no better than Kentucky or anyone else.

And so since I oppose Obama, does that make me racist? Or does it mean I just disagree with everything he stands for? I don't really care to be compared to one simply because I don't want him to be PUSA.

Actually, more people have called your opinion of her comments rubbish than have attacked me. THAT appears to be a two-man show. You two work well together. You should vote in the same booth together in November, ofcourse your party is the party that couldn't dare be seen as having two men so close together inside the same booth.
