sorry but I didn't read anything in that article that hasn't been posted on this (and plenty of other) board. The guy always seems a few steps behind

Everything in there has been obvious for years. Tommorrow he'll tell us all phil is staying and receiving a three year extension.

I like how it points out that 4 of the top 5 QB "rankings" in that class have been a complete wash. But yeah, you guys keep thinking that Crompton was in fact the 2nd best QB in the country and it is the UT coaches fault that he is horrible.

A couple weeks ago he was writing how the fans were jumping the gun. PJ is right. He's behind.

It is true how he points out that Fulmer is using this supposed "Top 10" recruiting class as his defense for staying around. The heat must be really getting to Fulmer

I thought Climer wrote an article a month or so ago saying Fulmer wouldn't be fired this season. Seems he's changed his tune

I'm not sure what Climer's other articles said, because I don't keep up with him. But he was spot on with this one. I agree 100% with what he said.

I'm pretty sure I have never heard anyone say that. I guess the Fulmer crowd is now resorting to fiction in order to prove their...oh wait they have no points...

Think Climer is throwing darts. I agree with what he said in the article. But typically his writing and attitude on the radio are pessimistic and have gotten real old and predictable.

Climer is on the Plaster show every Tuesday. He even said something to the effect of "Yeah I know a few weeks ago I said Fulmer was staying put, but that's changed". So he at least acknowledged he's flip-flopping. But I still can't stand him. The way he bashed Manning for years was horrible. It was like he made it his mission to keep hounding Manning. That was probably the biggest reason I was glad Manning finally won the Super Bowl. I've not seen a negative Manning article from Climer since.

Having said that, I agree with this article. A "good" recruiting class is no reason not to pull the trigger. I did laugh at several of the kool-aid comments on that article though.

But there's a problem. Historically, Fulmer has recruited well. Yet, the talent haul on signing day hasn't translated into a high level of success on the field in recent years. Recruiting is one thing; developing talent is another.

says it all

I listen to 104.5 all the time. Climer is a homer. Hyams does a bit every Friday and he provides a much better insight to TN Football than Climer could imagine. Climer needs to cover Pop Warner Age 5 division.
