Tennessee should beat any team playing in Georgia this past weekend. Except the Falcons :) .

I think State plays them tougher then they did UT, maybe even beat them. I believe (and hope) we find UT and NC State are much better this year than last. They beat Clemson 37-13 last year, we will see on 11/17.

Clemson was impressive also, but time will prove our Vols are finally back among the nations best! Hang on boys and girls! It's going to be a great season!!!!!

Clemson should be better than UT at this point. Clemson has spent the last two years recruiting near the top of college football.....and underachieving on the field......Clemson lost to this NC State team last year not to mention giving up 70 points in a bowl game!

I agree. And I do think that UT's win was more impressive than Clemson's. Of course, I have my biases, but IMHO Clemson and NC State are in the same tier right now (see our 37-13 blowout against them last season).

From an ACC perspective, Clemson is almost always overrated. Sure, people want to believe the hype right now, because they finally won the ACC last year. But I'm not sure that says all that much. Keep in mind, Wake Forest won this league in 2006. Wake Forest.

Also, every SEC fan I've talked to has said that Auburn is down this year, even before the game last weekend.

I will use this as my barometer. Clemson was ranked higher than Auburn, and won. In any poll that you could use, NCSU was ranked higher than UT, and lost. I think some on here have mentioned that NCSU was ranked as high as 25th on some polls. So to me, when the lower ranked team wins convincingly...that has to be more impressive than a highly ranked team beating a team outside of the top 25.

If that Bray QB sneak had counted and Hunter had caught at least one of the two money passes for a TD, the win would have looked much more impressive. It shouldn't matter at all to Vol fans-- we saw what we needed to see. And it's better that we keep it low profile leading up to the UF game.

auburn is not very good this year and clemson just barely beat them.thats all i'm going to say.
