Clemson and TCU

Clemson looked weak every game I've seen them this year. They only won yesterday when the ref's stepped in and gave them a 1st down on a very awful call of hitting the qb out of bounds. They don't belong in the top 10 if you ask me.

Ugh... I don't think we can throw salt on Clemson when it took overtime for us to beat a 1-2 ACC team.

It was early in the season when every school is getting their legs. And we also played with Milton who missed umpteen wide open receivers that would have been TD's Tennessee has steadily gotten better each game both on offense and defense, both running game and passing game. Clemson pulled it's starting qb yesterday and needed ref's help in getting past Syracuse.

I get that and agree but I still don't think we can throw salt at them. If we had beat Pitts by 14 or more points, I would perhaps be singing a different tune.

We know SEC champ will be in regardless of record at this point.

OSU or Michigan will likely go undefeated.

So, does Clemson or TCU stumble at this point?? Clemson has a road game at ND, but then home the last three games.

TCU has to go to Austin.

Plus championship games.

But is this possibly the year 4 zero loss conference champs go to the playoffs?

I think the committee would look hard at weighing a 12-1 SEC title game loser aka Georgia or a Tennessee with Bama as 12-1 SEC champ vs the likes of TCU.

Clemson will be in the playoff.
Michigan vs Ohio State winner will be in the playoff.

At this rate, I think it’s shaping up that 2 sec teams get in if and only if Bama is 12-1 SEC champ and Georgia or Tennessee is 12-1 SEC champ game loser. This because a 12-0 UGA or Tennessee will be #1 ranked team going into Atlanta. Gonna be hard to drop them from #1 to #5 and out of playoff for losing in Atlanta

Now if TCU loses a game, I think the convo of a 11-1 Georgia or Tennessee being a contender for a spot is still alive.

The elephant in the room for an 11-1 SEC East team that does not make Atlanta would be the loser of the Michigan-Ohio State game.

I think if Ohio State wins and Tennessee is 11-1 with only loss to Georgia, Tennessee is likely in over Michigan.

However, don't deny media love for Ohio State. If Ohio State loses a close one to Michigan, I can see Ohio State getting the nod over Tennessee.

This is where that Pittsburgh game that I keep calling out could cause issues for us. We need Pittsburgh to win and they are NOT... it is frustrating.

Yes, but I fully expect TCU to lose a game.

Idk. Obvious Ohio State has the media love. But i am not sure they would be sure fire in. After all it’s about ratings. Tennessee making playoff would cause ratings mayhem and fan travel more than anything Ohio state could do. Seeing the talking heads dealing with two 11-1 Tennessee and Ohio State teams for the final spot would be hysterical. Would probably be like NCAA tourney chair trying to justify Tennessee getting the 4 seed. I think if TCU runs table, 11-1 Tennessee/Georgia are out of equation. Although seeing media deal with 11-1 UGA and OSU would be funny too
