It would be hard to find something that I'm less interested in than Tebow's sexual history.

He's interested in being the first?

giggety!

You do realize you are talking about a guy who is married to a former Titans cheerleader?

Personally, I think it is because it is a perfectly relevant question given Tebow's faith and the way he lives it. Additionally, he just gave Tebow a public forum for one of the biggest issues among Christian youth.

Prolly best to get it from the horse's mouth.

I don't see why everyone is getting so worked up about this. The only person that had a right to be offended or raise an issue with the question would be Tebow. He didn't--he answered it very succinctly without missing a beat. He puts his faith and his beliefs out there, and confirmed to the media that he practices what he preaches.

I think it would have been far more random if any other player would have been asked that question. The only reason Clay asked was because Tebow put it out there already.

Pre-arranged publicity stunt? Tebow said he was expecting the question, even if the rest of the room wasn't.

Who is offended or raising issue? I think the general tone is just that it was the most pointless question ever asked at a press conference.

Because he has a book coming out in August. When ESPN says "Clay Travis" and he gets googled, his Dixieland Delight book will come up as will his new Tennessee book

All that pub for the price of nothing. The ROI is going ot be huge.

No. David Pollack got asked the same question when he said he talked publicly about his faith. I'm sure Tebow knew he would be asked it at some point

is it really an unreasonable question considering tebow prosthelytizes to the media on a regular basis?

he will be black balled from SEC Media events in the future

don't you believe it.

He already has more readers than 75% of the deada$$es currently sporting SEC press passes, and the SEC Media are not the same as the SEC Press relations office.

See columns by Barnhardt, Chris Low, and Dennis Dodd. Also heard that Finebaum and Jim Rome were going nuts about it on their shows.

I liked that he asked them - i think he is the voice of the smart ass fan
but it was a football press conference - putting my ut hat down the question was out of line

No more out of line than timmy always showing off his jesus badge. If he wants to fellowship with the media, then he should expect these questions.

Remember the "SEC rules, PAC-10 drools" plane banner that flew over the Cal game 2 years ago? That also was Clay Travis. With the Tebow question, that was free publicity. Whether or not the question needed to be asked, the real point is that he got free press and advertising.
