I don't think he's an idiot, but he is a douche. He's more WWE character than anything. He has no problem saying stupid things if it get attention (which obviously works). He has no problem completely contradicting himself it it makes him money. And he has an army of idiots that hang on his every word and think he actually cares about them. But he would sell them all out in a heartbeat if it made him more money.
