If I was from Bama I'd be ashamed every time I listened to his show. Before he was on sat radio I thought "wow what idots we have calling into Big Orange Sunday" now those guys are brain surgeons compaired to Finebaum callers.

Like I said, Finebaum needs to have them on payroll, they make his show. I really wondered if Charles from Reeltown is a real person and I know someone from Reeltown and he said he really lives there. Reeltown is about 30 miles from Auburn.

Haha. Very true. I've always been impressed with Paul's ability to handle the callers he gets. I actually ran into him a few months back. We talked for a bit about our alma mater. Good times.

Just so we're clear, Legen is an ex con POS that thinks he knows everything there is to know about college football and truly believes that everyone else should recognize his football prowess. What at idiot! I quit listening to F-bomb because of Legend, Shane, Charles, and Tammy, and I immediately got smarter.

I listen to Finebaum because at least he talks about SEC football. Last Thursday, which was a HUGE day in college football, Hyams was talking about "favorite UT basketball players in history. Not even current, relevant bball stuff. It was filler nonsense because his show is just so unlistenable. Then, his counterpart talks about old baseball stuff that is interesting only to old people who like to sit around and remember the good old days.

I heard Clay on with Finebaum yesterday and I wanted to step in and clarify something for Clay. It isn't that Texas wouldn't win a lot of games in the SEC, it's just that they would rather not have to try.

The University of Alabama has consistently ranked as a top 55 public university in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and has a selectivity rating of "more selective".[13] In the 2010 US News and World Report, UA is ranked 96th among all colleges in the nation.[14] The University of Alabama ranked 12th in the nation among public universities in the enrollment of National Merit Scholars in 2007. Seven University of Alabama students were named to the 2008 USA Today All-USA College Academic Team, the most of any school. This year’s team brings UA’s total for the last six years to 31, a figure that tops all other colleges and universities. In addition to this year, UA had the most students on the list in 2006 with six and in 2005 and 2003, both with five. In 2007, UA tied with Washington University-St. Louis for the most team members with four. In 2004, with four students on the team, UA came in second only to Harvard.[3]

A ranking of colleges and universities, published in the May 19, 2008 edition of Forbes magazine, ranks the University of Alabama seventh in the nation among public universities. The ranking also places UA 42nd among all national universities, both public and private.[15] According to both the 2008 and the 2009 US News and World Report America's Best Colleges Edition college rankings, UA had the highest ranking of any university in the state of Alabama.[16] In fact, among all public universities in the US, the University of Alabama is ranked #37, according to the 2009 USNWR America's Best Colleges Edition, up from its national ranking of #41 the previous year.

UA graduates include 15 Rhodes Scholars, 15 Goldwater Scholars, nine Truman Scholars, one Gates Scholar, one Portz Scholar, and one Udall Scholar. Published reports have ranked UA among the top four flagship universities in the Southeast and among the nation's top 25 public flagship universities in terms of minority enrollment.

Yeah, we're stupid dude!

What about the people who are barefoot with 15 kids living in the trailers off dirt roads I pass when I have to drive through your nasty state when going to the beach?

importing students from the other 49 states to boost your rankings is a clever ploy but most see through it

I have never lived in the state of Alabama. My Dad was born and raised there. I grew up in Georgia. I am currently a 2nd LT in the US Army, stationed at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri.

The public education system is in pretty bad shape in ALabama to be quite honest. It's a case of the haves and the have nots when it comes to getting a good education. I know, my aunt is a parapro there. So, if your family has ANY kind of money , the kids usually end up going to a private school.
